A few online places - divvies.com, vermontnutfree.com, premiumchocolatiers.com. Peanutfreeplanet.com and navanfoods.com and allergyfreeshop.com might also have some valentine'sday candy.
Does anyone know of any websites or bakeries that specialize in Allergen-free cakes for parties??? Does such a thing exist??
Melanie C. replied:
Divvies.com has cupcakes. AandJBakery.net has baked goods and they ship. There are several places that have cookies. Most parents bake goodies themselves. Wilton offers cake decorating classes. KFA has several parents that have made beautiful allergy free cakes thanks to the Wilton classes.

Where are you located? There are a number of them that are starting to open. Not sure about birthday cakes per se, but allergy-friendly bakeries are out there now. Libertybakeryonline is another one as is http://www.allergenfreebakingcompany.com does make cakes and www.sweetalexis.com makes several different types of baked goods. Also homefreetreats.com offers some cakes although they are not decorated cakes.
Anyone know of a bakery that can make a birthday cake that is nut, egg, soy and wheat free????
Kids F. replied:
Sweetness Bakery is in Blue Bell www.sweetnessbaking.com. That is the closest one I can think of.

Freely Simple will allow you to order online. I've spoken to Susan (the owner) and she's fantastic - http://www.freelysimple.com/index.html.

My son is allergic to the eggs and nuts. I sometimes buy Carnival Ice Cream cakes. They don't have eggs in any products and they say there are no nuts in the ice cream cakes.

Hi everyone!! Does anyone know of a bakery in Massachusetts where I can buy a peanut-free, tree nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free birthday cake? Thanks!! :)
Melanie C. replied:
It's easy to make your own. It may be hard to find egg & dairy free cake. I use Wacky Cake. http://www.kidswithfoodallergies.org/featured_recipe5.php Cherrybrook Kitchen also makes an egg, dairy & nut free cake mix.
can anyone tell me what is the law for bakery items. as far as labeling is concerned? We bought a cake tonight from a local grocery store bakery, checked the CONTAINS...
Kids F. replied:
Were the pecans listed in the ingredient statement itself? It sounds like maybe they were not based on what you wrote. Companies have the option of putting the top 8 allergens in plain English in either the contains statement or the list of ingredients. But if it is an ingredient and is not listed anywhere on the package, then that is a problem. You can report labeling problems to the FDA http://www.kidswithfoodallergies.org/resourcespre.php?id=33&title=Reporting_an_allergic_reaction_to_foods_or_drugs
Any suggestions on finding a peanut free bakery on the northwest side of chicago. Waiting to hear back from Jewel, I know they make nut free cupcakes. I'm looking for...
Jenny K. replied:
Hi, I live in the Chicago area and there are not a lot of choices. I spoke with a Jewel bakery rep for about 45 minutes when the nut-free facility cupcakes came out. They don't make these cupcakes at your local Jewel bakery--they are brought in. The Jewel supermarket bakery items that are baked in-store have cross-contact issues for nuts. www.wilton.com has beautiful cake molds for baking your own b-day cake.
