Any suggestions for peanut/tree nut allergy friendly restaurants in Toronto???
Chris P. replied:
Many restaurants can accommodate in toronto. According to allerdine.com spuntini is a 10, we've been to pizzaria rustica. Google peanut free bakeries, and be pleasantly surprised! Also look at www.avoidingmilkprotein.com. What area are you going to?
I don't know how current this is but found this. http://www.blogto.com/toronto/the_best_nut-free_bakeries_in_toronto/
Chris P. replied:
Also, download cne brochure at www.theex.com They are accommodating many dietary needs in the food tent. Each station will list symbols for dietary needs met at each station!!! A proud moment for a FA mom!
Anyone know of any allergy friendly restaurants in the NY/NJ area?
Melanie C. replied:
Try www.allerdine.com or www.allergyeats.com. Chain restaurants may be your best bet. Red Robin has a positive review listed below. We have had good luck with Chipotle, Chili's, Arby's.

I have been reading a ton about red robin.. i might have to take a ride and check it out. thank you!

Candle Cafe in the city is great - vegan - no egg, no dairy. And they label each of their meals on the menu. There are some other great places we go to in the city - where and what are you looking for?
I've heard that Disney Resorts provide special chefs who cook for people with-even life threatening-food allergies, where they even avoid cross contamination.

i have not personally dined via Disney w/my kids. But in planning my trip 2 years ago I did speak w/a representative and she was very good with giving me all the information I would have needed. www.disneyvacations.com You call and reserve in advance and let them know and then once you are at the restaurant the chef will personally greet you.. Also, Nickelodeon Hotel in Orland accommodates we are going there in May and they have a specific phone line to call 1 week in advance to get all the details right! good luck!
