Can anyone recommend an optometrist or ophthalmologist?
Tara C. replied:
I really like Dr. Orgain in Hendersonville. He's very thorough and I don't feel like just another number with him. He knows his stuff, too. Caught a situation that could have caused my mom to completely lose her vision in one eye and got her to a surgeon quickly.
I need a recommendation for an eye doctor that specializes in dyslexia. Any help would be appreciated.
Andrea G. replied:
An eye doctor cannot "treat" dyslexia as it isn't an eye condition, it is a brain difference. But my daughter who is dyslexic had a co-existing eye focusing problem that made her get nauseous if watching rapid movement. Dr. Michael Green at Green Eye Center successfully treated her with special glasses for a year or so and we have not had the problem since. Highly recommend him.
