My long haired dachshund has allergies. She would scratch constantly, chew, etc. She doesn't have fleas as she's is on flea meds. We tried benadryl, coconut oil, but the only thing that works is Apoquel which is available by prescription only from your vet. I use White Rose Veterinary in York.

Newport Vet on Old York is awesome. The staff there are so caring and prices are great. When I was in hospital, they kenneled my dog and did a med at no charge to me. They are like family.

Chappells is great and affordable. If you're looking to spay or neuter go to Spay and Nueter Charlotte. If you just need shots go to the Mobile pet clinic. It comes to Animal Supply House almost every Sunday. Their shots are like $8 each, it can't be beat. Also Tractor Supply has a clinic that you can get microchips for just $15.

We've always gone to Total Bond either ar Paw Creek or Mountain Island. It's usually quicker at Mtn. Island than Paw Creek but they can't do more serious procedures at Mtn. Island. Mtn. Island is great for routine checkups and minor illnesses.
