The Lazy Boy store in North Aurora over by Target and JC penny had a lot of good stuff on mark down right now. I have always had very good luck with Lazy Boy. Also Art Van sells Lazy Boy brand. Ask for Sonia if you go to Art Van. She isn't pushy and is very patient and helpful. I have bought a lot of furniture from her.

I have personally used Shannon Somerville Peppeard of Peppeard Interiors on several occasions (I even had her travel to my home in Ohio to decorate it). Shannon is incredibly talented and so great to work with. She listens to what you as the client are looking for and then exceeds your expectations. She is always upfront with her fees and reviews the purchases and designs with you before any work is done so you always know what you are paying for. Check out her website so you can see for yourself the talent and beautiful work she has done for so many people. https://www.facebook.com/Peppeardinteriors

Driven past a consignment place on Roosevelt rd in Wheaton, Acosta’s I think is the name. Also the Salvation Army store in Franklin Park usually has a large selection of nice furniture. I say that, you’ll go and it’ll be the pits! But I have sent a few friends there and they’ve had great luck.

Also, check out estate sales. I've found some really nice stuff.

Divine Consign is quite good. Huge space and they have it set up nicely. Getting quality pieces in all the time and they update their website too. Though, some of the best items sell before they make it to the floor. In north riverside on Harlem.
