Needing recommendations on places to board two dogs for a week. We've used the vet for a few days but just wanted to see if there was something better for a full week.

Hey, anyone know of any good and reasonable vets in Glenwood? I need to get my dogs nails trimmed and he's a fighter so I'd rather have a vet do it. Any ideas on...
We have a new puppy, live in Glenwood, and are looking for a vet that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Any suggestions?

I have used Fremont co. And yes they are great. But I know Dr. Mike and his wife Beth at Hilltop in Malvern..They are great people, they love animals and would never over charge, they are involved in the Christian veterinary alliance and do mission trips to help people in 3 rd world countries take better care of their animals! Just good people doing what they love!

Dr. Joyce in Malvern is wonderful! He genuinely cares and doesn't require you getting a small loan for services ;-). We have 3 dogs and can take them all their at once for the same price as one at the some of the other vets in the area.

Dr. Joyce in Malvern Hilltop Vet!
Michelle S. replied:
I go to Plattsmouth Animal Hospital. My cat needed surgery and many other places charged upwards of $1500- over $2000. When I told them about it, they said that there's a retired Vet that still does work for them and he did the procedure for $600. Highly recommended as he worked at that same clinic for so long.
I'm looking for recommendations on a vet to take my two dogs in for their annual shot.

Sue L. replied:
Dogs need yearly heartworm tests and monthly preventative. They need yearly lepto. They also need titered to ensure they have enough immunities to not require the vaccinations you choose to skip. They also need yearly exams from a skilled veterinarian and lab panels ran as recommended. Skipping vet visits is cost effective but not much else.
Jackie G. replied:
I use Glenwood Vet, Dr Cari or Dr Westergard are both good Hilltop is also good, and Valley View.
