It is very common for them to tear their ACL. My clinic sees these a lot with our medium/larger breed dogs because of how active they are and they way their anatomy is. Protocol is usually an anti-inflammatory along with a pain med until surgery (which can be pricey). You should definitively look into Care Credit.
