Go to www.reserveamerica.com. Lists all campgrounds in the the US with amenities, maps of campsites, etc. and you can reserve online. There are a lot of good campgrounds within 1.5 hours.

Simsbury farms pool closed today, camp chase not open till 3:30. Any other suggestions that are fun and relatively close?

Pond at SBP? Try a new park/playground--Elizabeth Park in Hartford? Hike the Newgate Ridge. Forest Park Zoo. Butterfly Conservatory. Barkhamsted Reservoir. Talcott Mountain/Tower. Free movie at Spotlight Theater in Hartford at 10 am (Willy Wonka is today).
