Not sure about Westfield area but I had been looking last year and was told about a place in Northampton that does it. Differentdrummerskitchen.com and look for Northampton cooking classes. My daughter was 7 and they told me she had to be 8.. So we are hoping to get her in in the fall. They don't during school vacations and such

Camp Moses has special programs for older kids (climbing wall, water sports, hiking, quads, COPE courses, archery, shotgun, rifle, etc...) . It's overnight scout camping, and they have campsites for "provisional" kids who come to camp solo. They get paired up with others, and have appropriate adult supervision. Cost is about $350 a week. You can join scouts for about $25 a year. There is no commitment to continue after summer camp if it's not his thing.
