Kidz Bedz - nice, sturdy, solid wood that will last many, many years. They are in Grandville.
Any one know of any nice used furniture stores to get a queen size bed and mattress set? Would be greatly appreciated :)

My son bought 2 new Mattresses at Big Lots. The twin was fine for a child but the queen popped two springs within. 6 months . So he returned it. Keep your receipt in case. He bought a new queen at Jazzies Junk that was great. I think they will layaway. Very nice people. The best made mattresses are Jonathon Stevens. Ive bought 2 there. The first one lasted 25 years. Jazzies told us that if you have a good spring KEEP IT! Because they are making the new ones cheap like cardboard. I dont know about Jonathon Stevens because they are built local in GR and are quality.

I have reupholstered some small pieces and I have no desire to take 50 year old fabric off another grandpa chair. It’s as gross as you think. I like the vintage stuff though! Thanks!

There are a couple of vintage dealers who focus mainly on MCM that do warehouse sales once a month out in Grandville. I’ve had a lot of luck (and found fair prices) at Quality Vintage Collectibles. Follow them on Facebook to see when they’re open, or I think you can set up an appointment to check them out.

I really love Changing Thymes and Pinky's. I've purchased most of my furniture from them.

If you're looking for unique antique items, Lost and Found Treasures of Old and New is pretty great. I feel like they've scaled down recently, but have a user friendly store unlike other antique shops!

There's Huizen's furniture on Burton but I'm not 100% sure it isn't a mob front. I can probably count the number of times I saw people actually shopping in there on one hand, yet somehow they stay open.

There's a furniture store I forget the name of in that row of antique shops on Century. They have a lot of vintage mid-century modern stuff. I've seen real high-end stuff in there too. Like vintage Herman Miller chairs, that kind of thing. It is technically an antique store so most of the stuff is original aside from a few obvious art projects and amateur restorations. I'd steer clear of the upholstered stuff unless you plan on getting that re-done. I don't know about you but I'm not too keen on paying what they charge for foam that's endured 50 years of grandpa farts and God knows what else.
