A good friend of mine works at [Herkners](http://www.herkner.com/1.html). Don't let their horrible website fool you - they are really nice. They have a ton of old pieces (read: unique). But they are a little on the pricey side.

Jensen's in Hudsonville is great!

I liked Swierenga's but my mom really pushed me to check out Haan's in Byron Center. I didn't have a great experience the one time I went to Haan's but I've heard good things from others since then as well. I didn't end up going with either, but since I regretted my choice I won't mention it.

When I went ring shopping, we narrowed it down to [Almassian Jewelers](http://www.almassianjewelers.com/) and [Swierenga Jewelers](http://www.swierengajewelers.com/). We ended up going with Swierenga, as it had both the style and the price range we were looking for. Super friendly staff at both locations though!

I've had great luck and heard good thinks about [Russell and Ballard](http://russellandballard.com/) in Byron Center. Local dudes.

I bought my wife's engagement ring at Preusser's on Pearl. Had great results with the ring and the people.

I used Fryling Jewelry on Burton St. SW. Very small and easy going. I knew what i was looking for when I went asked him. He orderd 3 or 4 different diamonds and had them shipped in. Took less than a week.

We went to [Metal Art Studio](http://www.metalartstudioinc.com/) right in town. Love the place. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend it.
