Any recommendations for English-speaking doctors (general practitioners)? Looking into whether I need some vaccinations for travel.
Brian B. replied:
If you're looking for just basic shots, Chosun University Hospital has a translator that is very good. Sumi Kim.
Erica N. replied:
Geo-Med (Body and Soul) clinic does vaccinations. I don't know if they are cheaper or more expensive than the hospital or anything but the doctor speaks perfect English and is great. It's across from the Bukgu district office. http://www.geomedclinic.com/
Amy D. replied:
Lunch hours and Saturday hours on geomedclinic.com :)
Amy D. replied:
Dr Kang at the Back Gate (www.geomedclinic.com) is also clued up & does vaccines on site. His English is near perfect and his receptionist speaks some English too (enough to make and change appointments).
Melanie B. replied:
going to a doctor is always best, but if you'd like a list cdc.gov has information on which shots are needed for almost all countries
Amy D. replied:
Actually, Helen, if you do go to Dr Kang, his building still says 'Body and Soul'... So Janet's is an important comment.
had a pain in my foot for a while now and my online diagnosis of myself is it could be plantar fasciitis, anyone know of a podiatrist or another good idea to try? its...
Shawn R. replied:
plantar fasciitis is terrible. If it's that, my wife stretched her calf with a towel at night before bed and it was 10 x better in the morning. http://www.athletico.com/2012/05/09/plantar-fasciitis-solutions/
Jd G. replied:
Yeah, but I just can not resist an opening like that . In any case, stop by Dr. Kang at Geo med, he'll help ya out or give you a referal
Darrell S. replied:
Online diagnosis neale...you should know better...maybe talk to Dr Choi..send me message for his number
Jd G. replied:
Here is the link, Neil. Dr. Kang speaks great english, and he specializes in pain management and ortho. Tons of folk use him exclusively, but if its out of his area of expertise, he'll refer you to someone local and explain to them what your problem is before you even leave the clinic. Good guy. http://gjguide.onewsoft.kr/2011/06/clinics/
Anyone know of a good podiatrist in town? Maybe even one that speaks english?
