Stephanie Lubash Myara Bay Club is not near the port. It's in midtown (Hadar). I would recommend that you change your plans. If you want to stay near the port and have good food and music, and then after dinner drinks, you should really stay on Ben Gurion. I would recommend a nice little hotel called Hadad or the one next to it, Templar.

The German Colony is also close, and has good restaurants, like Fattoush

You are in Hadar but can easily walk to the Downtown. There's also a carmelit subway down the street from you. Venya is really nice and i think cheaper than Namal 24. I've never had problems there. Fattoush in the German Colony is a Haifa staple and nice to sit at. Jack and the Beanstalk also has good food and is a nice bar usually with live music (Eli's also often has live music). If the weather is nice, all of the bars and restaurants in the little pedestrian avenues might open up and you will have more options like Jack O' Fish. sometimes there's also a shuk there on thursday nights. Some of these areas might seem sketchy but i've never heard of or seen any problems (personally)

Does anyone know of vegan restaurants, raw food restaurants, health food stores, alternative medicine/holistic doctors and/or nutritionists, and/or acupuncturists in the...
Avi E. replied:
Buddha Burger is vegan. Outside of that I don't know.:(
acupuncturist in bat galim: Oriel 052-2661268. There was a Buddha Burger vegan restaurant in Mercaz HaCarmel but I am not sure if it is still open. Sugar and Gluten free store in Tel Hannan called "mutar" in Hebrew, a health food store called "duvduvan" in neve shaanan, a little one at the turn into Carleliya neighborhood off of MOriah, and the Teva natural foods store in Hultzot Mifratz is great with mostly reasonable prices.
Miri A. replied:
Anna Giladi, I was also quite disappointed. Serving Tapuzina as orange juice is so retro.
Ellie W. replied:
Cafe Louise isn't vegan, but it has vegan options. It's at the Carmeliya junction. There's an Eden Teva market in both Nesher and Hutzot HaMifratz. Here's a website: http://www.happycow.net/m/asia/israel/haifa/ Chanah Auerbach
Sophie B. replied:
Nitsat Haduvdevan is a health food store in Merkaz Ziv, 7 Komoi Street
Amira M. replied:
Cafe Louise is on Moriyah Blvd. 58. It's DELICIOUS! Also a organic/health food store that's good is called Nitzat HaDuvdevan. It's a chain- I'm not sure where else they are located in, besides for Ziv Center (on Komoi st). Here's a link to their page: www.nizat.com/. Also, Masada St. (Hadar neighborhood) has a bunch of cafes with vegan options. Dobbie's has really good vegan Shawarma! Also, Mirpeset (a bar/cafe) on Balfour St., I think also has vegan options. I would also check out Cafe Brussel on Moriyah Blvd- the might have vegan food there as well.

There is also a Raffaelo in Castra. It exceeded my expectations, although I would still recommend Bella Roza over it.

there is one called Mamma Mia on the derrec acco road between kiryat Ata(Big center area) and Kiryat Haim across Derrec acco from the big center, they have good pasta dishes

Natanya, Ramle is a city in between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem (close to the airport), it's obviously not close to Haifa, but because of the Indian-Jewish community there, there are a few Indian restaurants, and the food is authentic and delicious :P There is also at least one place in Tel Aviv, but that's all I know. http://goo.gl/maps/dbHax
Shai P. replied:
I can recomend the Ethiopian restaurant Mother Afrika on the corner of Haneviim and Shabtai Levi in Hadar by the building of Mizragas. The food is authentic, and delicious. There are two menus, one with meat and one with vegies, both highly recomended...

On Massasa street in Haifa is a vegetarian cafe (not the Zebra). An Indian man comes there three days a week to fix Indian food. It was, if I remember right, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday but he is a student so the days he cooks Indian food may vary each semester. I think it is Massada Cafe but we all have colds here and my brain is not working at full speed.
