My little Pom was having a problem with a totally blocked bladder. I called Dr Ballenger and said they couldn't see him till next afternoon. I told them he couldn't pee at all & it was an emergency but still refused to see him. I called Dr Jones & they saw him in 30 minutes & operated the next morning. Poor girl We took our 12 year old in to Dr. Jowanda at MAR last week for hip and knee issues. Turns out it's arthritis in his hip which likely led to a small tear in his knee. It was $345 for everything - exam, x-rays, sedative so they could do the X-rays because he is way high strung, shot for pain, and a month's worth of arthritis meds. (951) 652-7387. Im new to Hemet, I took my dog and puppies to Mar vet on acacia, From my experience I don't recommend it, the Vet took a look at my puppies and ask me what there gender was, I honestly thought he was kidding but he said " no really I cant tell " I was disappointed even my young kids were able to tell, how could he not, I was there just for a check up nothing wrong with them, having said that, If they were to get sick I would not take them there again

Dr. Jowanda at MAR Animal Hospital on Acacia b/w Palm and Lyon. $35 exam fee and very reasonably priced on just about everything else including lab work, and you don't have to worry about him trying to talk you into anything above and beyond what actua lly needs to be done. Been taking our cats and dog there for years. Used to be Dr. Acevedo's practice but he sold it earlier this year. He was a great vet IMO but not much of a people person. Dr J has been great so far.
