Vet recommendations please! We found one we like pretty well, but they are SO expensive even for just basics and with three dogs, that adds up. I should add our pets...

I use Dr. Gene Bailey at the Animal Hspital at Peak Plaza. Now he's in Apex but he is the best vet we've ever had. The office is up 55 near Old Jenks Road. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get there. But he is the best. When our dogs have had issues. he's called us at home to check up on their condition. A neighbor had the same experience. He's caring, concerned and great with the animals. All you'd like to see in a vet. http://www.animalhospitalofpeakplaza.com/

We use Swift Creek Animal Hospital919.851.8387. I don't know how they compare price wise. They are on Holly Springs road.
Orealys H. replied:
Swift Creek customers for years. Our pet guinea pigs and rabbits usually go the Hemloch Bluffs now on Sunset Lake Rd. They are great with small animals. Holly Springs vet turned me off when I walked in with an injured cardinal. I was in the area and just wanted the name of a bird rescuer. For animal caregivers, they were uncaring and unwilling to help. In fact, they all took a step back when I walked in with the bird. It was very strange.
Ken T. replied:
We've used Holly Springs Vet Hospital for over 10 years with our cat and now our dog. The compassion and care they provided our cat during her final days was impressive. I have the highest respect for Drs Berhard and McCrory...and the entire staff. And when we got the puppy, I checked other places on spaying prices and HSVH had the best price for this procedure. Lets face it - our pets are almost like children, so it only takes one not so impressive experience to turn us off. I have just had nothing but extremely positive experiences with HSVH.

Harmony Animal Hospital is great!

Petsound next to Wake Med Cary behind Danny's BBQ. Dr Kevin Munce and the team is all about the animals nit the money. Forget HSP know several people including myself that had really bad experiences there.
Stayce K. replied:
I LOVE Holly Springs Vet (near Food Lion). I worked with Dr Pat McCrory's wife years ago before I had children and I've used them ever sense. Some of their standard prices are a little higher than other vets and some are lower, so I think it works out to a nice price. They are always SO very nice.

We like Holly Springs vet hospital very much.
Debbie H. replied:
i use Veterinary Express mobile vet. Dr. Trey Rodgers. He is wonderful. I have 2 dogs and you only pay for one "office" visit. He is very reasonable. 919-577-2243
Jodi F. replied:
When we got our dog several years ago, I called around for pricing to the main vets in the area. Holly Springs Vet was the most reasonable...but that said, I still think they are high:)
Judi M. replied:
Vet prices here are exactly 2X higher than they were in my home state. However we love Dr. Betsey at Creature Comforts on Kildaire Farm Road. She is excellent, loving and well informed in all areas.
Harriet H. replied:
We use Swift Creek Animal Hospital also.
Gentry B. replied:
We've been with Dr. Betsy Sigmon at Creature Comforts for eleven years...she and they are great. She has the designation of being a Diplomate (not very many in the entire state). She is also on the board at the NC State Vet School. You couldn't ask for a more thorough vet. Like Dr. Jay Mackie a lot too.

Dr. Butler at carefirst glenwood does laser as part of a whole rehab package including acupuncture & massage & treadmill work. She has a great value on her packages so if you're interested in investing in that, she's pretty awesome.

We have bored our cat for years (well, over years) at Holly Springs Vet on Main Street. We have a new golden rescue (as of May) and we leave her at Hemlock Bluffs on Sunset Lake. They are a smaller facility (which I loved for Kiwi) and they are AMAZING. I don't know if they have room but they are top notch!

We don't have an established vet in HS yet but take our boy to Magnolia Animal Hospital in Raleigh. They're amazing. Our horse has been seen by Summit Equine on 55 which I believe is associated with VCA Apex Animal Hospital, I'd definitely recommend them.
