Chelsea S. replied:
We see Dr. Jon and Alicia Krichev. I loath doctors and dealing with medical stuff but they make it painless and easy, and are both athletes and *get* runners. In fact they're probably in this group. *waves*
Gregg G. replied:
In south HSV? Checkout David McMillion, he is a mountain biker, but we won't hold that against him!
Lisa H. replied:
South parkway between Logan and charlotte. My third walk in clinic for a stubborn sinus/bronchitis infection. Dr Farah and his nurse were much more thorough and were much more interested in helping me.
Karen S. replied:
I ditto Total Sports Care! Love my Dr. Cost!
Ash W. replied:
Dr James K Byrd. 420 Lowell Drive close to HH. I had to change drs a few yrs ago bc of the same reason. He is 10000 x better than my old dr ever was. He is a runner himself & he's also really big on exercise & being active. I'm not sure if he is accepting new patients but give him a try. He's great! My whole family uses him.
Millie S. replied:
Brian Cost is wonderful! That's who we go to and he understands athletes.

I too use Dr. Jonathan Krichev. He has seen more parts of my body than he would like to admit. Seriously though, he truly is the best Dr. my wife and I have ever had.

Our doctor of 20 years did the same thing to us. We are now going to Dr. Eric Wells. He was in the Valley View group beside Crestwood but has recently opened his own practice on Longwood near Huntsville Hospital. We have been very satisfied with his care so far. I can give you his contact info if you are interested.

Here's one site that seems helpful... of course, it depends on people writing reviews, but you can search on various General Practitioners (and other types of doctors) in a specified area and see how others have rated them... see: ratemds.com

Does anyone in the Huntsville area have any recommendations for a good general practitioner? I've been here over a year, I should actually find a regular doctor.

Eric Wells. He's a friend of the family and I've also seen other people I know recommend him.

Dr. Robert Marlowe at Bailey Cove Family Care (or something like that...) Been going to him for years. The only way I know to describe him is to say that he's personal and collaborative about the care of his patients. He'll listen to you, he gives great advice, and he has good contacts for specialists in the area if he needs to refer you.
