My daughter (11) is wanting to try horse back riding. She is a beginner (has a little experience from summer camp at circle r ranch). Looking for somewhere close by that...

I ride at Henderson Farm just north of Ilderton (maybe 5 minutes from Ilderton) and love it! Great instruction, great facilities, and wonderful school horses & ponies to learn from. Lots of other younger riders/around your daughter's age too! https://www.facebook.com/149239475223045 Henderson Farm

All my kids loved going to Forest Cliff as campers, SALT and Counsellors. It is reasonably priced and not too far if you are looking for some convenience. I found all of the counsellors and staff I met to be excellent. I believe they also run some day camps around the area as well but can't comment on those. Kee- mo- kee is also close in Komoka/Delaware area. I went about 40 years ago and it was good back then lol but can't comment on how it is today.

Camp Hermosa near Goderich is fabulous. It is also a church camp but fantastic. I went for many years as a kid and couldn't wait to go back.

I’d recommend Centauri (it’s ages 8-18) if they’re interested in the arts, the camp specializes in drama, music (vocal and instrumental), film, writing, photography, visual art, technological design/graphic design and dance. It offers overnight and day camps but it is near Niagara Falls so, it’s a bit of a drive. It’s one of the best most inclusive camps ever and is so full of wonderful people who really can teach you about the arts. Here’s a link to their website http://www.centauriartscamp.com/
Does anyone know of acting classes for children? She is not wanting a camp, something more regular. Something that would include the theatre aspect. Please let me know!

My older two loved forest cliff last year. Brescia LEAD camp is good too. They've enjoyed the western camps as well. LOTS of choice! Alexa joined her sisters at the fanshawe park YMCA two years ago and loved it. She was four. Ilderton YMCA was good last year for her as well!
