Jacksonville friends, does anyone have a recommendation for a primary care physician you really like?
JJ C. replied:
Dr Bartiluchi is incredible, she spends time with, and get this when Roxanne was sick last year, guess who came to hospital and said a prayer at her bedside. Then when I got up to speak at her "Celebration Of Life" service at Lakewood who was walking in the door but my and Roxanne's primary care Dr. I was blown away that she attended, I ask you is that the norm? She is on University Blvd at Beach Blvd. She ROCKS!!! She only works Wed-Fri due to her devotion to her kids.737-1171Baptist Primary Care.
Art M. replied:
I go to Family Care Partners in Arlington off Ft. Caroline Rd. They have almost all equipment and specialists as well as physical therapy in house. That way you don't have to drive all over town to see specialists or get certain tests done. Also, they are covered under a pretty wide range of insurance companies. I've switched insurance companies three times, and haven't had to change doctors. They have a lot of doctors to choose from and multiple locations. here's a link to their website: http://www.familycarepartners.com/

Dr. Cathrine Madaffferi at Mayo...she loves an holistic approach when doable...but "made" me start blood pressure medication when she felt it was no longer controlled properly by non-drug measures.
Jax peeps: I'm in the market for a decent primary care physician. Preferably female, preferably not a million miles from San Marco. And doesn't immediately prescribe...
Zachary P. replied:
Dr. Kildare?
Carrie M. replied:
Melissa Frederickson - PA for Dr, Fidel Garcia - baptist primary care, university west (Lakewood) - they are both great!
Stacey S. replied:
Dr Julius Gorospe Family Care Partners Arlington ( 15 min from San Marco in non-rush hr) 744-7300 #brilliant #supernice #wontorderanythingyoudontneed #nevermakesufeelrushed
Vesper H. replied:
I've seen Dr. Gorospe. I was satisfied with his services and pleased by his manner. I was offered no Ativan...whatever that is.
Heath H. replied:
Million miles from San Marco, but Dr. Gargin on Baymeadows is a pretty rad Dr.
Daniel B. replied:
Heck, Erica you don't need no doctor! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LZMmV6 xXYFw
Melissa M. replied:
My doctor is a DO. Her name is Dr. Demattas (sp?) I would have recommended her but she is at Mayo on Gate parkway. She's great. I just figured it would be too far away for you .

Eleanor... There is an agency in Macon that may help. It is the Middle Ga Area Agency on Aging. The number is 478-751-6466 175 Emery Hwy Macon 31217 suite C. Call them and ask for phone numbers on transportation for Seniors. If they don't provide a service they most likely have phone numbers you can call. If you need anymore help let me know. I have some people I can call that will no. Hope this helps.
Can anyone recommend a really good primary doctor who accepts Florida Blue? One who treats you as a person and not a number.
Robert F. replied:
Dr. Roger Miller at Baptist Primary Care on San Jose Blvd. He is very caring and a great person.
Terry L. replied:
We use Dr. Gerald Guirata on Normandy across from sonic. First Coast Primary Care. I switched my parents to there too.
Amy B. replied:
Baptist Primary is connected to Baptist hospital and vice versa. Whatever labs, test or comments made about your care its in the system for your primary to see or an ER doctor could see your recent dr visits etc. This comes in handy with my parents with so many dr appts its information we don't have to keep up with because the information in their system is connected from office to office.
Cynthia W. replied:
I go to Dr. Narvel on Oak St. e also is a geriatric Dr. Some big guy at St. Vincents. He actually came to see me in hospital and took good care of me. You can now get blood work there also
