Cap Region has a clinic but I think it's only on Thursdays. First come first served and is income scaled. I have heard St. Mary's has all program you can apply for as well. Take in tax documents as proof of income. Otherwise Community Health Center on W Truman Blvd.
Im in desperate need of a good new primary physician. Preferably associated with cap region. Any suggestions?

If you go to the website www.crmc.org you can see who is excepting primary care patients by select the find a doc option all the providers listed here are awesome but not all are accepting new patients. Also capital region is unified now so if you have a primary care provider in the network you can use the specialty clinics and urgent care clinics knowing your provider has access to the care plan! Good luck!
Veronica R. replied:
Dr.Lease at CCMA. Internal Medicine who has gotten rave reviews since he has joined Cap Region.I work in clinic where he practices and he is a very thorough physician who loves what he does.

I've used Dr. Cawood's office for fifteen years. I don't feel he's ever forced prescription pills for anything. He's at Capital Region.
Jon D. replied:
Dr Warbritton has never let me down
Megan G. replied:
Dr Vaughan at Edgewood. She specializes in integrative medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment. I love her. Great listener and wants to find the cause/looks at nutrition/doesn't push meds. She is in the same office as Albin and Huhn

Teresa S. replied:
Add someone who will actually touch you. Dr. Kimlinger spoiled me. No matter what you came in for, you got your ears, nose, mouth and lungs checked. He always greeted you with a handshake, and a caring attitude. Now you are lucky if they actually close the door they are standing in, as they speak down to you. If you want to drive to Fulton, Dr. Fairchild is getting a good reputation. She is a St. Marys doctor. I haven't been to her, but my daughter likes her.
Samantha G. replied:
Drs. Jamie or Craig luektemeyer. CRMC.
Lisa C. replied:
That's how Dr. Patel is . She is great. Believes in looking at her patient. Unlike the physical i received at jcmg. I actually had to sign a paoer stating that I would not discuss any issues during my physical, otherwise it would be charged differently

I have seen Dr Baskar and Dr Babar, but i now go to Carrie Vaughn and my first appointment was very informative and she spent 45 minutes talking to me about the diet and lifestyle changes she would suggest. Also, Capital Region has Patient Portal; i can login to see the notes regarding my appointments.
Megan G. replied:
Dr Vaughan has always spent a lot of time with me, too, M Rochan Yates-Cain! I consider her to be a friend, too. I absolutely LOVE my appointments with her because we talk nutrition and she is so passionate about helping people. I'm taking my 20 month old to see her for cranio sacral therapy/OMT on Thursday and I can't wait!
M Y. replied:
I was impressed at my appointment. I have seen more doctors than i can remember. I have had T1 diabetes most of my life. Her knowledge and desire to share it was inspiring. I will continue to see Dr Rauba at JCMG for auto-immune diseases. He also spends a great deal of time discussing all aspects that effect diabetes. He will suggest healthy foods and where to buy them. He will also be the first to challenge my choices and suggest better ideas.

Megan G. replied:
Dr Vaughan at the resident clinic is the same one we've mentioned. She's just no longer a resident.:-)

Alfred Johnson, JCMG. He takes as much time as it needs. Love Him!! He took Dr. Ron Strong's place when he passed away. Dr. Strong was my doctor for years and years and I never thought I would find someone as caring and such a good doctor. Dr. Johnson is filling his shoes quite well.

Michael L. replied:
Dr. Alfred Johnson, he tells it like it is if you like it or not, no sugar coating!
Kelly W. replied:
Dr. Baskar. She's internal medicine. I was suffering for close to two years with some issues. Saw her and she figured out what was going on the first visit. And she remembers you and your family. She's super friendly. You don't feel rushed when she's in the room, but I've also not had to wait forever on her.
Kristy W. replied:
Dr. Robbins at JCMG

Love Dr. Smith Haxton for OBGYN!!!
Linda B. replied:
I can highly recommend Dr. Morgan Schiermeier as a family physician. He is EXCELLENT. He listens and is genuinely concerned about you. He is extremely hands on with your care and his nursing staff is excellent. By far the best personal physician I have ever had! Likewise, I really like Dr. Douglas Boudreau as a pediatric physician. It is also possible to get same day appointments with Dr. Broudreau if you call in first thing in the morning. Both are excellent in my opinion. As for the OBGYN, I'm still looking myself. I was sent to Dr. Carnett and didn't much care for her. She did little to be compassionate towards me and didn't follow up as she said she would. I have heard good things about Smith-Haxton as an OBGYN but I have not personally seen her.
