We've always used the ER vet on Central (741-4041) and always paid up front. I heard from several people that the pet emergency place on Hood and A1A is good and will work with you on payment. Their address is 4019 Hood Rd and the number is 625-9995.

Basya Weiss - I just wanted to let you know the experiences that I have had with Paws2Help and the above mentioned Vets located in Jupiter. Since I do a lot of TNR I have had approximately 200 cats spayed/neutered at Paws2Help, Peggy Adams and Animal Care and Control. Not one ever had any complications or a resulting death with any surgery. I took my Rhodeshian Ridgeback to one of the above named Vets and spent nearly $3,000 and to this day I still don't know what was wrong with him or why he died. But I can tell you one thing, as long as I was writing the checks they would probably still be treating that dog whether he was dead or alive!!! I also brought another dog to one of these wonderful Vets in Jupiter on a Saturday (my own Vet that I've been going to for over 20 yrs. was out of town) and I knew that my dog was in critical condition. I won't go in to specifics, but his tongue was turning purple, and he could hardly breathe. He/she did a quick work up and then told me to fill a prescription and give the dog some medication to see if it helped. After all it was a Saturday, and he/she wanted to get out of the office. So they hand me a dog back that can't breathe, and for some unknown reason this moron thought I was going to get this dog to swallow a pill. Thank you for that nearly $700 bill as my dog struggles with every breath he takes. But then we all know YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Yeah right!!! I then left that office, and went directly to Pet Emergency on Northlake Blvd. They did everything they could, but my poor little dog just didn't respond and died the next day. That bill was over $2,000. Pet Emergency is very expensive, but in an emergency they know their stuff!! That other moron I saw couldn't have given two shits less. Who the hell tells someone to give a dog a pill when the dog can't even breathe. Try it some time - trust me it won't happen. I know the owner of Paws2Help for 18 years. Alot of animals would have died a terrible death had it not been for her help. To those who don't know her, spend a week in her shoes and you just couldn't imagine the nightmare that she has do deal with everyday. Baysa, I applaud you for getting your dog to a Vet. I wish more people would be more consciousness of the spay/neuter and necessary vaccinations that are needed. If you ever need any help regarding your pets, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good Luck.

Yes it was for us. The most disturbing part was that they didn't care and wouldn't even look at the dog when the incision swelled up to the size of a baseball in less than 8 hrs. Another vet that fixed it said he had never seen such a mess of a spay job. We've used Furry Friends in Jupiter a few times and they're really great. For injuries or emergencies I think they will work with you on the bill.
