If the vehicle was off road and had to recovered that can be a reason for a high bill. Sugar Creek has a rotation that they use and have set rates. So much for winching time, the tow, mileage outside of city limits to tow lot and storage.

James James to be honest I would rather have the city take my car to the tow lot than left somewhere where it can be re-stolen or stripped even more. In KC the tow fees are reasonable and the city tow lot waives the storage fee for the first 4 days.
