http://www.blacksheepelectric.com/content/contact_us I've used them twice and been more than pleased. First when remodeling a bedroom that we ripped down to the studs to put in the recessed pot lights, switches and additional outlets. 2 nd to come back and but in a dimmer and hardwired smoke detector.

We used As You Wish Electric from Seattle. They were awesome! They fixed a ton of stuff in our house.

I am looking for recommendations for outdoor pickleball/multi-court lights. Has anybody upgraded theirs to LEDs? The lights planned for the St. Edwards fields seem cool...
Matt M. replied:
Check with Seattle City Light as they have some amazing subsidized bulbs for sale thru retail outlets like ACE Hardware in LFP. Not sure about exterior. I upgraded to LED flood lights in my kitchen for a fraction of the cost and they keep me from continuously changing incandescent lights burning out.... yes, you heard it from 'small gov' Matt. If they save money on bulbs and conserve energy it is a win win. Having the intelligent choice is the shared part we all agree on. http://powerlines.seattle.gov/2013/03/25/seattle-city-light-offers-instant-discounts-on-led-bulbs/

Blacksheepelectric@hotmail.com did an hour job for us. Installed a master's slave dimmer, hardwired smoke detector and a couple of outlets.

Thanks everybody! Our good friend, Andrew F Bucher was able to save the day!
Can anyone recommend an electrician? We don't have power to one room. Thanks!
Kathy H. replied:
I cannot reiterate Christina's point enough. We hired tree people and I later found out he had no L&I coverage. If one of his workers had fallen out of our trees and been severely injured needing life-long care, we would have lost the house. A guy with another tree company did fall out of a tree on another occasion, but they had coverage. This is no joking matter. Always check license and L&I coverage for anybody working on your property. http://www.lni.wa.gov/TradesLicensing/Contractors/HireCon/

If you can't or don't want to go into the attic you can use a ceiling brace that is designed to be installed without having to go into the attic. this video shows how its done but you have to watch a bit before it gets to it. http://www.ciscoelectric.com/ Only the owner has been to our house, but he definitely knows his stuff. I had him do a couple of minor installs, but then asked his opinion/rough estimate on a number of things. He was honest about potential limitations of certain items. If we ever get it together, we'll probably have him back to do several things.
Any electricians that you would recommend? We want to talk to someone about hooking up a generator :-)
Todd O. replied:
http://ddelectrical.com/ They're based in Port Hadlock, but their service area extends out to King County. When I had mine installed 5 years ago, installation was ~$2500-3000, and the generator itself (14 kw Generac dual-fuel, hooked to NG) was around $3000. You won't find much better pricing unless you do it yourself (hope you're a licensed electrician and plumber, if you want to DIY), but you can certainly find much worse deals. As You Wish Electric (a sister company of Greenwood Heating) quoted a ridiculous ~$16,000 for installation of the same thing.
With the current power outage, it reminds me that installing a generator transfer switch might be a good idea. Recommendations for local electricians would be greatly...

Kent from RWA Electric. We are still without utility power (31 hours) and thankful for our generator and transfer switch.
