Alan Chase with Chase home inspections. This guy was amazing. Extremely thorough and provided an in depth report with pictures. Well worth his cost. http://chasehomeinspections.com/

Have you already purchased the house? If not, it's advisable to have an inspector check out the house before you buy it.

Not sure if you maybe already picked one but we had Stewart Home Inspection with Adam Kinnaman. Our first house didnt turn out well but just got accepted on a 2 nd one and hes doing the inspection on Friday for that home. Took pictures of pretty much every detail you wish to see. Will go over them right after he does the inspection then take it and write up the report for it including the pictures in it. Edit, will add that their cost is $355. Which not sure if there is cheaper but I think thats a pretty fair value for someone to evaluate your whole home and write up the report for it.

Look up how little training it takes to be a home inspector. If you really want info you’d be better off to hire specific folks to inspect. IE- a roofer, plumber, general contractor, etc.

GatorGulch replied:
I had mine inspected through Stewart Home Inspection and the agent that did the inspection was Michael Berney Smith(unsure if he is still working there as this was 2 years ago). I wasn't able to be at the house during the inspection, but I was given an extremely thorough report with pictures and suggestions on what should be done to improve it. With the report I was able to knock off a good amount on my housing offer and got the owner to fix some things before hand.
