Dylan, since you live so close, don't forget about the 6 th Annual Florida Hang, aka, Hangcon, this Jan 14-19 at Doe Lake Recreation Area. Its the largest gathering of hammock campers/hikers in the world. Several vendors show up each year and lots of "experienced" hammockers. Check it out here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/114962-FL-gt-Doe-Lake-Ocala-National-Forest-gt-Jan-14-19-2016-gt-HANGCON

I used whoopies, straps and toggles (like Shug taught me on youtube). I had Slap Straps for a little while, I made them a little better by rigging them between a couple poles and pre-stretching them for a few days. Once I got whoopies they went in the bin. Quick, infinite adjustments, have worked for me in the worst heat NY has to offer and down to -36F no particular issues.

Recommendations of a great (and affordable) vet in the area for my new kitty?
Kyra M. replied:
I whole-heatedly recommend https://www.facebook.com/158214870900604 Lincoln Highway Veterinary Clinic - been taking our kitty(s) there for nearly 10 yrs now.
Carly B. replied:
VCA Bridgeport on Ranck Mill road. Both our kitties went there and they were so great:)
Bex F. replied:
West Lancaster Animal Hospital is a wonderful place. I've taken my pets there for about 20 years. I highly recommend them.

I haven't been to his new practice, but we always used to go to Dr. Shah when he was at Lincoln Highway Vet Clinic and he's great. He's now practicing at Red Rose Pet Care Center on Orange Street. http://redrosepetcarecenter.com/home/4427910

I take my pets to Dr. Lewis at Lincoln Highway Vet Clinic. I used to go to VCA Bridgeport on Ranck Mill Road and loved the vets but found their prices to be too high once VCA took them over. I have found Dr. Lewis to be much more affordable and my dog Bella loves him!!!!
I know this has been asked here before, but does anybody have vet recommendations?
Suzan M. replied:
Dr. Sharon Daub Pelker of PAWS Mobile Vet(717) 871-1700 It is great with 4 cats and 2 dogs to have her just pull up out front. She's not always taking patients and she has limited services. She is wonderful. We use Willow Run Vets for anything that falls outside her hours or scope. (717) 464-3424
Leslie R. replied:
I started going to Manor Animal Hospital.
Mara S. replied:
Landisville vet has always been good to my dog and 3 cats. Its off Harrisburg pike.

Sharon Daub Pelker of P.A.W.S. is absolutely wonderful!

Sharon Daub of P.A.W.S. Has a mobile office so she comes to you!
Cheryl D. replied:
Manor Animal Hospital on Stonemill Road, Dr Sue Gulah and staff. Excellent care and compassion.
Kristin T. replied:
Manor Animal is the best!!
Hilary M. replied:
We love Landisville Animal Hospital.
Allyson L. replied:
Frank Abel. Willow street
Suzan M. replied:
Dr Daubs of PAWS is an excellent doctor. She pays great attention to detail and really thinks a problem through. And she is very compassionate. Being able to have her come into the house when we recently had to euthanize our one cat made an awful situation as least traumatic as possible. She is not always taking new patients however. And there are limits to what she can do in a van. Recently, I've also had to use PETS both for emergency (after hours) and specialist care (regular hours). Dr. Rodriguez, an internist, was excellent.
Crystal M. replied:
Use Dr. Corey at Landisville Animal Hospital (previously with Manheim Pike). She's awesome with large-breed dogs. My mom uses Dr. Sue at Manor - she came in after hours on Thanksgiving eve to treat her vomiting Sheltie. SO dedicated and caring, too!
Patrick F. replied:
Dr Sue. You bet. Manor Animal Hospital. You will love them
Patrick F. replied:
Izzy and Poppy say Dr Sue too.
Michael T. replied:
Dr.Edkin Hempfield animal hospital Marietta Pike
Monica C. replied:
I really like West Lancaster Animal Hospital. However, I did use PAWS's mobile unit when sadly my beloved cat needed to be euthanized. And while I don't wish that on anyone, PAWS was great.
Amy G. replied:
We've heard great things about Neffsville animal hospital on Lititz Pike but we've seen Dr. Daymun at Hempfield animal hospital for number of years with all three of our dogs. She treats each one like an individual and does what's best for the dogs.
Ayne W. replied:
Without question, it's Sharon Daub of P.A.W.S! She is a saint!
I need Vet recommendations from pet owners in the Lancaster area - Jasmine has something wrong with one of her ears.
Sarah D. replied:
I'm hoping you already found a solution, but we've been pretty happy with Manheim Pike Veterinary Clinic, other than the fact that they pushed Science Diet on us even though it's really not the best thing for our babies. Molly Caldwell might have recommendations too!
Molly C. replied:
Simon's vet is Brenda DeLuca from River Hills Veterinary Hospital - she's awesome and reasonable, but she's down in Conestoga, which is the downside.
Mike G. replied:
It's probably a bit out of your way, but we go to the Landisville Animal Hospital on Harrisburg Pike. I can't rate the pricing, but the care has always been good.
Sarah D. replied:
I've used Care Credit for both us (eye exams) and for Wash and Kaylee. We have yet to pay interest on it because they usually offer interest-free repayment periods.

Leslie A. replied:
Absolutely. The dog of a good friend of mine needed emergency leg surgery and was referred to the docs at Lititz Vet Center - they are absolutely brilliant and the one is the only board certified surgeon for numerous counties. They work almost 24/7 and operate the wolf sanctuary at Middle Creek.
Erin S. replied:
Dr. Sue at manor animal hospital. She's the best and very reasonably priced.
