This one is more downstate from you, but I know you have readers (like me) that might be from that area. Harper Woods Animal Urgent & Critical Care Center - 6 pm to 9 am M-F and then Sat 1:30 pm through Monday at 9 am

Emergency Veterinary Hospital (EVH) in Ann Arbor is amazing! I took my dog to that "place" in Burton a few weeks ago and ended up leaving and driving to Ann Arbor at 3 am. From the second we walked through the door you would have thought they were treating their own pet. Detroit Bully Corps takes rescue emergencies there, and I had been there a couple times before with the rescue's founder Missi, but this was the first time taking my own dog. It was well worth the drive from Lapeer. (734) 369-6446 5245 Jackson rd, Ann Arbor.

I need to Declaw my 2 cats and where is a reasonable vet that will do it?
Ariel O. replied:
This is a safe alternative and you can swap out colors to match the season or whatever you want. http://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=19945&cmpid=02 cseYY&gclid=CMWWkeXm1 c4CFQgcaQodkroMzQ
Traci M. replied:
Declawing pets is a really bad idea. They use their claws to stretch their muscles and catch prey if they are outside pets. You should Google and read how inhumane it is to declaw.
Lucia M. replied:
If you want to declaw your cats - Dr Robinette - Daley Rd Animal Care810-664-2910 My daughter-in-law had two cats done and was pleased with the vet and the price. They had the most reasonable costs. If you would like more info - PM me and I will contact her for the exact cost.

Please don't do it. It's like cutting part of your finger off. Use the Scratch Lounge my cat loves it. Get it from Amazon.com.

Mayville Veterinary Clinic uses a lazer which somehow kills the nails instead of surgically removing part of the toe...recovery time is VERY fast and far less painful than the traditonal method.
