Looking for a good vet besides Wachusett Animal Hospital.... Our dog has something on her eye we brought her there and they couldn't tell us what was wrong and just gave...

I've been using https://www.facebook.com/1402884353283914Mid-State Mobile Veterinary Clinic for 12+ years now. It's a wonderful thing to have them come to your home....so less stressful for your pet!
Melissa A. replied:
Central Animal Hospital been there for over 20 years!

I hope you get to the bottom of this for your fur baby. I use Leominster animal hospital for regular routine stuff but any big issues I use Angell Memorial medical center, 350 S Huntington Ave , Boston 617 522 7282. They really are fantastic
Michelle B. replied:
I will never step foot in Wachusett again! I was sent there by my vet for my dog to get an ultrasound and emergency surgery to remove a hemorrhaging tumor and her spleen. They made us wait almost an hour (did I mention my dog was hemorrhaging) then some very inexperienced vet (she was about 25 fresh out of vet school) read me some information she googled and told me she needed to euthanize my dog that evening. I left and took my dog to Tufts Veterinary Hospital. The performed the surgery and treated her for cancer and she lived another year of high quality. That guy is greedy and hires inexperienced vets... stay away! I use Lunenburg Vet Hospital and Tufts in Grafton for specialty or emergency care!
Loredana R. replied:
I second Mid-state Mobile Veterinary ... Dr. Bianchi is awesome.
Michelle B. replied:
Also another resource. My dog once also needed an ophthalmologist. Veterinary Ophthalmology of New England. Petersham MA 978-724-0300. He is also a professor at Tufts Vet school

Julia G. replied:
About a year and a half ago I asked the same question and got the same answers. Overwhelmingly people recommended Leominster Animal Hospital. I made an apply and took my dog in for a checkup. By totally freak coincidence I passed out from inadvertent dehydration at their office and injured my teeth and lip badly enough that I needed to go to the ER. I didn't know their staff from Adam and they were so kind to me it is unbelievable. They held my hand, waited with me on the floor for the ambulance, kept my dog overnight until I could arrange to get her, and called to check on me for days afterwards. I won't ever go anywhere else! Top it off with the fact that they're great vets too
Liz T. replied:
Central Animal Hospital. All the vets there are great. They've taken care of my cats and dogs for a long time.
Looking for a good vet for my two kitties. Trying to stay away from twin city and Leominster animal hospital.
Any suggestions please? Looking for a small homey office...
Central Animal hospital gets my vote. Everyone there knows my cats and they ask about them even when I'm just getting food. Everyone there always feels like family to me. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Moss ❤❤
Jenna R. replied:
Doctor Flinkstrom, Lunenburg veterinary hospital. Even though I've moved to NH, I drive over an hour to go to them for Serenity's vet care.

Central Animal Hospital. Dr. Moss is the best for kitties. Been going there for over 25 years.
Erin K. replied:
I had a really bad experience with Lunenburg Vet Hospital. A Dr there that works with Dr. Flinkstrom missed a golf ball size tumor on my cats liver. Once the other vet pointed it out only 4 days later, even I was able to feel it! They failed to properly diagnose my baby, which played a huge role in his death. I wouldn't take a pet frog to that place! I take all my babies to Dr. Fitzpatrick at Central Animal Hospital on Rt 12 near American HD! She is AMAZING!!!!!!
Diane G. replied:
Banfield hospital in petsmart is great. My cat had a problem with his urinary tract and they helped us out. They have a great payment policy also.

Integrative Animal Health Center in Bolton. Dr. Cavanas and Dr. Rogers are great. They don't "push" meds which is not the norm these days and they don't get defensive when you do your own research and ask questions based on your own research findings. They took incredible care of Quincy ONeil - we were there every other day for five months - and were incredibly sensitive and compassionate with us on Quincy's last day. Love them!!

Integrative in Bolton. Right on 117 at 495. Dr Caviness is wonderful. He's a bit holistic and conventional. He treats the whole animal, not just the ailment. Pair that with preventative care and you have one awesome vet.

Dr. Moss at Central Animal, she has cared for all of our pets for over 20 years. Can't say enough good things, we love everyone there!

Pat S. replied:
Dr. Feccia at Leominster Animal on 117. He's awesome! If u have him examine whatever it is there for and not other things, he is very reasonable. Also if ur pet needs prescriptions, have him write one, and bring it to ur pharmacy. A lot cheaper.
Laurie F. replied:
https://www.facebook.com/313003369206 Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat is where I take my cat. I've never had a problem there. It might also be worth checking out pet insurance and/or care credit for your animals
Misty L. replied:
Central Animal Hospital....Dr. Fitzpatrick, Dr Goode and Mulcahey are amazing and their prices are very reasonable! Cheaper than any of the vets I see people posting about
Donna D. replied:
We go to Central Animal and love all the docs there. Very compassionate and caring. Their prices have gone up considerably since they were bought out by a larger company. But we still go. I think $200 is a standard base price for anything these days!
Gardner Animal Clinic they are great and don't charge those crazy fees for emergencies like others do.
Jazmine R. replied:

I've been to almost every vet in the area (my least favorite has been VCA Lancaster FYI), and so far the most amazing has been Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat in Westminster. They are attached to a boarding facility so you can get your dog groomed while there or can have them stay overnight while on vacation. They're the only ones that have handled Mishas anxiety and craziness at the vet with calm, personalized and collective responses. The Vets go above and beyond for us to figure out options and diagnostics. They also have a 24 hour emergency room. I can usually get in within a few days for a spontaneous visit and about a week or two for check ups. Great place!
Hello everybody ...hope your having a good day ! I was wondering if anybody knows or goes to an affordable vet. I went to a newyork shelter and adopted my 10 month fur...

Are there any local vets that offer at-home pet euthanasia?
Laura M. replied:
I used the mobile vet when my cat was ill, but not sure about euthanasia. I loved the fact I didn't have to traumatize her more by lugging her to the vet. They even did surgery in the little van. http://www.midstatemobilevet.com/
Autumn D. replied:
Thanks for the answers. My boy is gone now. The mobile van was booked for at least a week, and last night he lost all use to his legs. We took him to Leominster Animal Hospital and they were very kind and compassionate.
