I used Mountain View with my goats (I live in Greenville), he's awesome. Very very nice man. 603-654-7237. There's also McGee Equine in Townsend that came out once, he's trained mostly in large farm animals, horses & cows but he can do basics like shots for pigs & goats, he's usually much busier though & I didn't find him quite as pleasant to deal with.
I know its been posted before but i can not find it. Can someone recommend a vet. We currently use Townsend vet, which im not opposed to but i feel they are on the more...

Fieldstone animal hospital in Rindge has been excellent for all our dogs and cats. Dr. Sawyer and everyone working their have been amazing. When I first moved here I went to Wilton and it turned into a disaster. My mother had brought her two dogs there to resolves some health issues. A $2,000+ bill later and pages of handwritten notes on an outrageous bill that made no sense. When I asked for an itemized breakdown I got more scribbled notes that didn’t explain anything. Not impressed with the way they run their business. Took them to Fieldstone and they pointed out I didn’t need the tests Wilton prescribed nor the meds and it cost me a fraction of what Wilton charged.

When I had my rescue i used Dr Tom at Great Brook in Atrium.

Its a ride but I used to live in Manchester I use Queen City Vet in Hooksett they have a very basic office no frills. I found this vet because my little chiuahua needed an emergency eye surgery and I was told she would have to go to Tufts or another big animal hospital in Boston to fix it and that it would cost us upwards of 2000.00 I called around myself and although there are really no vets who do this surgery Queen City did. They only charged me 500.00 they are very honest and dont overcharge and the staff are so kind and nice and on about 3 different occasions I have got my animals in to be seen that same day!

I went to another vet for over 17 years and the prices kept going up and up and up til I simply couldn't afford it anymore. At Fieldstone - they are reasonable and very skilled. They helped me resolved my cocker spaniels seizures...it was cause by food allergies!! She has been seizure free for a year!

I always used Fieldstone Animal Hospital in Rindge. I'm super fussy about veterinarians & she's the best. ..also the LEAST likely to recommend things when they're not necessary & give you ALL options. I am NOT a fan of Wilton. They like to offer the most expensive option possible without even mentioning others. Dr Sawyer (fieldstone) graduated from Cornell, does continuing education & promotes wholistic approaches whenever feasible...even if she can't cash in on the treatment. I miss her SO much.....

I know there hasn't been much said about Wilton Animal Hospital/Clinic, but I strongly recommend Lynne Guidda at the Wilton Animal Hospital. She has done great with my fur-kids. She has a great table-side manner, and she is the only one I request upon making any/all appointments for the kids. I am very picky when it comes to the them. Give her a try. I'm sure you will see she really cares about your fur-kids. Good luck.

We just went through this with our senior golden retriever. The vet said when they stop eating, wanting to be with you, or show signs of constant pain, it's time. Call Dr. Legault of mountain view equine. He will come to your home and help you decide.

We just put our baby girl down yesterday. ❤ It's so so hard, but it sounds like your little guy might be ready. We brought her to Townsend Vet to do it and they were so amazing. They gave us lots of privacy and as much time as we wanted. And they take care of the body which is nice. I'm so sorry you're going through this...it's brutal. Feel free to PM me. ❤❤❤
Kimberley P. replied:
I am so sorry to hear this. You could try a bland diet of boiled hamburger and cooked white rice. Our vet recommended it to us when our dog wasn't feeling well. Also to keep hydrated try chicken stock, we make our own but Swanson is good too. If you feel the dog is in pain it is very safe to give baby aspirin, NOT TYLENOL! If still not feeling better in a day or 2 I would get him/her to your vet. If you don't have a regular one we use Tenney, Fritz and Coombs in Peterborough. We've been going there for 17 years and they treat all of out pets like they are their own. Good luck and prayers.
Linda S. replied:
We've been through this several times unfortunately, over the years, we have always had Wilton Animal Hospital, they were wonderful and very caring and understanding. It is never an easy decision, they are our family members.....cherish the memories...prayers for peaceful transition.
Kara H. replied:
So sorry, it's always terribly hard to lose a furry friend. No one knows your dog as you do, and you will just 'know' when it's time to take that step if it comes to it. Cournoyer Funeral Home in Jaffrey offers pet cremation services and is often cheaper than what the vet offers (at least they were when we had our mastiff mix cremated 3 years ago). Fieldstone Animal Hospital in Rindge was very respectful and compassionate when we had to put our original shepherd down due to hemangiosarcoma. It was the best experience possible for such a heavy, terrible thing, they were wonderful. Many vets will also hold your dog's body for burial until conditions are right to do so if that is your preference. My condolences to your family.

We make the drive to the Amherst location of Animal Hospital of Nashua (right off the 101 exit to head towards Nashua). Every vet we had seen was telling us to give up on our cat Stuart when he had been incredibly sick and not responding to any medications for 3-4 weeks. Dr. C at Amherst kept saying "don't give up on him yet" and he took time to research abnormal but low-to-no cost treatment ideas and Stuart did a 180 and is the happiest, healthiest cat now!
I need a recommendation for a vet in the area that does dental cleaning on dogs. How much might I expect to pay? TIA...
