The Snake Creek Grill in Heber is good, but a little pricey.....it is nice if you want something different and a little nicer.
Joe P. replied:
Great hiking and outdoor recreation in the area. Park City has great restaurants, one of my favorite distillery and microbreweries. The Salt Flats are pretty far from midway. If you're going there, make a day of it with some sightseeing in SLC.

Anyone know of any new restaurants coming to Livermore in the near future? It seems like we are still behind the times from Pleasanton and Dublin.

Mikes Cafe on first street is great for breakfast!

Casa Orozco is always a good choice.

Bethany S. replied:
From my friend who is my go to for restaurants all over the Bay Area: Zuni cafe. Market and van ness. The chicken is unbelievable and the oysters are super good.
Alyssa B. replied:
Tamara Krake - we went to Scomas 2 weeks ago at the marraige retreat - it was great but didn't want to go again. When making reservations yesterday morning I just didn't want sea food.....however I ended up having King Salmon last night anyway! But I would love to try Skates for lunch or happy hour one of these days.

We ended up at Mad Fish.... I would give it 4-stars... Fish was very fresh. I had a sashimi plate and cucumber salad with octopus... Nick had a roll with seared halibut on top and a spicy tuna handroll and Mike had the mad fish roll and a few other things.... Our typical $100 tab for the 3 of us for sushi... Not bad, nothing was wrong but not totally WOW either...
Does anyone know a restaurant that will be open on X-mass. The kids and I want to go out but everything I call is closed. It can be Livermore, Ptown, Dublin, San Ramon...

Has anyone tried the new sushi restaurant "Sumo Japanese Steakhouse" on first Street in Livermore yet? Hearing rumors that it may be pretty good... What do you know...
Deanna F. replied:
We've had sushi there several times, under the previous name, Sanmola (sp?). Very fresh fish. The owners changed the name when they decided to add the steakhouse menu. Super service. Clean restaurant. And I agree, they are artists.
