Wild game in chicago? Hi all, really glad to see this sub active again! I'm looking for a restaurant or butcher that serves wild game, for my birthday dinner at the end...
Cogzyboy replied:
Frontier has a pretty good wild game selection and whole animals available

I would check with Paulina Meat Market. Some of their stuff is bound to be wild caught but you'd have to ask someone there or call.

Good birthday dinner spot with oyster deal could be The Publican. Also, lots of great meat.
PostPostModernism replied:
Paulina meat market has a TON of game animals. Not behind the counter as much but they have a couple aisles of freezers with a huge variety of animal options. I dont know for a fact that it's wild caught though. They're very helpful if you ask.

Gepperths is a small store but they used to have some game meat in their freezers.

La Casa de Samuel has unusual meat, like boar. They also have seafood, including oysters Rockefeller
