Hi. Does anyone have recommendations for an excellent Lafayette vet? Time for a second opinion. I'm looking for a vet trained in alternative therapies like acupuncture...
Hugh J. replied:
Mountain Ridge Animal Hospital. *Might* be a little more expensive but my somewhat needy pups are healthy and happy....and spoiled
Christine B. replied:
I have had great experiences with AnimalHouse Vets. Dr. Moran is so very kind and the entire clinic was so gentle with us when our cat passed away recently. They have also referred my 14 year old puppy to CRCG where they do all sorts of alternative therapies: http://www.dog-swim.com/ Dr. Kristin there is pretty wonderful too. It sounds like you have a bunch if great options!
Mel G. replied:
Cathy Frye at Pets and Pals. Very ZEN, heart the size of Alaska, and never afraid of recommending anything "alternative".
Kathy C. replied:
Mountain Ridge. Of course I am biased because I work there but I have worked elsewhere and NONE compare. Competence, compassion and relevant medicine. Dr. Landry is probably the smartest vet I have ever encountered. (Or worked for)
Stefani A. replied:
Jasper Animal Hospital is amazing! We move around a lot every few years and they are by far my favorite vet for my bulldog in the past 10 years. Highly recommend.
William S. replied:
Jasper is the best. Dr Dodge is absolutely great.
Kelly S. replied:
Another vote for Mountain Ridge. Dr Landry was recommended to us by the rescue we volunteer for. Our dog had surgery 2 weeks ago and we are 100% satisfied with the care we have received.
Erin F. replied:
We go to the Humane Society, so this is a second-hand recommendation, but my mother and friend both like Jasper Animal Hospital. Dr. Dodge did our dog's independent assessment for his therapy work, and he seems very nice.

Shannon, if you're on a computer (vs a phone/iPad) you can search this group's/ prior discussions using the term "Vet" or Veterinarian. There have been a number of good Lafayette recommendations in the past. Personally we have a had a GREAT experience with Mountain Ridge Animal Hospital & Pain Management Center at Baseline / 287 - they are full-service and use holistic treatments as well as traditional.
Chris B. replied:
We're very happy with Jasper Animal Hospital!
Stephanie M. replied:
Angela Krause, DVM. Angie will also make house calls. Angie is on the oh-oh and will probably followup with the poster/list.
Maureen T. replied:
Dr. Krause is a fantastic vet! She has helped my dog so much - highly recommend!!
Mary and I and Bronco are moving from Aurora to Arvada (Whisper Creek) 90th and Indiana. Can anyone recommend a really great Vet Clinic/Hospital in the area? Thank you.
The G. replied:
Hi Bronco! Tell your mom and dad that I liked this place in Louisville: http://www.caringforyourpets.com/ OXOX Milo
Veronica C. replied:
Arvada Pet Hospital on 66 th and Wadsworth was awesome too. They were amazing with Daisy.
