Hi neighbors, my husband and I have a decent bit of travel coming up and were wondering if anyone could recommend dog boarding or quality pet sitters in the area.

We used Gretchen Block at the above link - a rec from the ladies at bad dog frida - it worked out really well.

We took our pup over to this place recently for grooming and we thought they were fantastic. I have no idea about their boarding rates, but you could call or visit them to see if they seem good to you. http://www.meyerspetcare.com/animal-house/

we use this place: seems pretty good. they do bathing and nail trims too. [hickory hills kennel](http://hickoryhillskennels.com/)

If things don't work out at your friend's place, [Ruffin' It Resort](http://ruffinitresort.com/) is an amazing place. I had an ex who worked there for a time, in addition to having my own dog go there for both kennel and day care, and I would recommend them above all other places I've been to or heard of. Their prices may be a little higher, but they take any and all dogs, regardless of age, as long as the dog is social with humans. They offer baths, nail trims, outside playtime, snacks, the works. And the people who work there are all incredibly smart and very nice!

Me! What exactly are you looking for? I have a beautiful springer spaniel who's still alive after 6 years so I'd say I'm well qualified :)

I am always willing to help out! I have a dog myself with a fenced in backyard so as long as they are good with other dogs! Otherwise I can always go let them out. Just as an option! Camp K9 is great for boarding if necessary or The Dog Haus.
Faye R. replied:
So I've wondered if there are friendly neighbors who would be interested in swapping dog sitting or letting out. Angela, the owner of Dog Haus on Atlas, is also phenomenal and we had to board there once and there were staff in and out all weekend with the dogs. For our dog not to be mad at us after leaving him for the weekend was huge! I think they will also do house sitting and I love the staff there!
Jody M. replied:
We were in need of this service earlier this year. Rec'd some great referrals from our Vet. Vet students love this type of "side job". Post something at the Vet School or check with the staff at your Vet's office.
Hello neighbors! I am hoping for recommendations on a dog boarding facility. I usually take my dog to Camp K9 but they are always full even 2 months in advance.
Thanks!

I use Rover.com. They come to you. They can do drop in visits, with walks, playtime, feeding, etc. or overnights. And it's affordable. I've had great luck with them.
