Here you go: this is a search for practitioners of a type of "therapeutic listening." I'm seeing a lot of occupational therapists and speech therapists here. So as long as you have speech or OT insurance coverage, you should be good. http://www.vitallinks.net/pages/Provider-Search.php It won't be your friend, who it sounds like is only a music therapist and not also a speech or OT. But, if it helps your kid it's worth looking into.

So, it's not a 100% match, but the price is right. [Awen Therapy](https://awentherapy.com/interns/) has two interns who are working towards their degree and are supervised and are offering free sessions. Last summer when my depression was acting up I saw one of the interns and she did really well. It was also nice because they had a more flexible schedule and I was able to have weekly free sessions which my health insurance would never cover weekly sessions. By supervision, the intern therapist discuss what's going on in the sessions with Jay, the main therapist. He doesn't actually sit in on any sessions or anything.

I'm a 25 y/o woman. Went to Nancy Getz at Dean for about a year and really liked her. I was there primarily for anxiety related to medical issues. She specializes in women's health, which was why I first sought her out, but she also turned out to be fantastic with anxiety issues in general. Very non-judgmental, calming presence for me and served as a great sounding board.

If you're running into issues with long waitlist times, I really recommend The Family Center. Was able to enroll, get paired up with a therapist, and start sessions in about a week and a half. I'm not sure if Dean is covered by them, but they work on sliding scale/whatever you can really afford if paying out of pocket.
