The best is Pet Agree in CANDIA NH Lea is my groomer. Tel. 483-8775 very professional, caring, treat all the dogs as If they were their own. They also have a daycare and pet boarding facility. Plus training. Highly recommended by my vet.

Avoid Claws -N- Paws in Manchester. Our dog got nicked in the eye, which can happen, but they never told us when he was picked up. We realized he couldn't keep his eye open and they did not return our calls until after we had to make the decision to take him to the emergency vet with absolutely no information to go on so many unneeded tests had to be done.

You could always try grooming him or her yourself? I have a shih poo and a shih/maltese mix and I groom them both myself. Taught myself. Just make sure to give plenty of breaks because the blade can get hot. Always check it on your skin first. I highly recommend Downtown Canine, 55 Calef Road, in Manchester. Tel: 656-9991. Susan is an excellent groomer. She has received many awards for grooming at the very big dog shows. She also grooms the Manchester Police dogs. She is fantastic. I had a very bad experience at Pet Smart and Tails Above the Rest. At least call Susan and talk with her. You won't be disappointed.

For our vet we use Glen Lake 15 Elm St 497-4113 We have a toy dog and they are really good with him. When we got him he was a tattered mess. Hair falling out, teeth rotted and very afraid. We've had him 5 years and his hair has grown back, his teeth are 'fixed', he's no longer afraid. We couldn't have done it without Glen Lake's help!

Bev Salo@the Bed and Biscuit is gone for the winter (unless someone is filling in for her). We just used The Doggie Bag+Day Spa in Wilton, very close to the Irving gas station. They groom only one dog at a time so you know yours won't be shoved in a cage for hours. We had a very positive experience there. The two groomers were lovely and they did a great job. I had a terrible experience at a groomer in Peterboro, to the point I would not leave my dog there to be groomed and walked out. Highly recommend the Doggie Bag+Day Spa, though.
