Dr. Joey is great, BUT it's tough getting in for a same-day appointment and he's one of two pediatricians in the MV office. And they rotate weeks, so there's no guarantee that you'll be able to get in on a Saturday if you need to (there weren't any pediatricians in the office last weekend, so there's that to consider). I wound up having my kids seen by Dr. Morton in Covington today to have their bronchitis diagnosed and Rx given, as I would have had to go in to MV today and tomorrow if I wanted both of my kids seen (two seperate appointments). Again, my kids and I love Dr. Joey, it was just really disheartening to have to take them somewhere else to have them looked at sooner rather than later for something that didn't necessarily warrant a trip to the Urgent Care (especially with the bugs people have been exposed to there lately).

We love Dr. Morton at Covington Pediatrics. He is quick, really good, and I love that he advises us that unless something is dire like a cut requiring stitches that we should stay out of urgent care. lol. He also is very supportive of our choices on whether or not to get certain vaccinations, and using natural remedies first if at all possible, something I wasn't sure of first as he is pretty old school. but great with the kids.

If your children have anything more serious than the cold/flu, I wouldn't suggest Dr. Joey just from my experience. We drive to Issaquah for Dr. Hiegel. Well worth the drive for our 3 sons who have all had minor to severe medical issues beyond vaccinations and the flu.

I love the Swedish Pediatrics Meadowcreek office! We see Dr Heigel but everyone we’ve come across in that office is wonderful. They pick up their phone quickly, can almost always get us in same day if needed, and run on time. It’s in Issaquah but worth the drive.

Dr. Morton at Covington Multicare is awesome. Really like him a lot. He doesn't overload patients like some and really listens to what you need.

From personal experience, Dr. Joey is perfectly fine as a pediatrician if your child doesn't need more than annual routine visits and/or has a standard cold/cough. If your child has anything more serious, I would highly HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. Again, just from my personal experience (you can PM if you need more info). We went to multiple pediatricians when we moved here 3 years ago and have absolutely fallen in love with Dr. Hiegel in Issaquah. About a 25 min drive, but I honestly would drive 2 hours to see her. I had to see her nurse practitioner last visit, and WOW... So thoroughly impressed. And, side note, Mary Bridge and their care was a blessing to me and my family in our time of almost losing our son. That place and those doctors will always have a special place in my heart. Having both experiences at Seattle Children's and Mary Bridge (surgeries, hospital stays, etc).... Mary Bridge gets my vote 110%! *Hiegel is with Swedish Meadowcreek

I second Dr. Friedman. He is amazing. I have two boys, one of them was born prematurely and Dr. Friedman has been great about getting him all the help he needs (speech therapy and nutrition) our second son, stopped gaining weight when he was four months old and Dr. Friedman did not waste any time referring him to get the necessary testing and finally figure out what was going on with the baby.

My girls and i go there. Its a great place. My girls see Shannon Markegard who is fabulous, but she can no longer take new patients.

I like the place and they do have good staff, but my primary care Dr. Has changes 4 times in the 3 years that we have lived in Maple Valley due to doctors leaving. That's my only complaint. I get labs monthly and they are really great.

We use Sean Verlander in Covington. He covered for Cali Byrd while on maternity leave. My daughter loves him, same day appointments never a problem.

We go there. Very convenient and good experiences. I have also heard good things about Valley Medical in front of Fred Meyer.

We were referred to Northwest Asthma and Allergy in Issaquah and love the drs there for my two boys. (Both have pretty severe asthma). Now my oldest needed even more intervention and we were also referred to a top pediatric pulmonologist in Seattle; I can find the name in my papers if you want it.
