I'm sure several folks had good experiences with Dr. Lammert, but we found that her schedule of being in the office only 3 days a week to be a negative. Also, if she is not in that day, it is difficult to get a prompt response. My elderly mother (almost 90) just changed -- and loves Dr. Suzanne Stark and her group.
I am looking for a good internist (preferably female) who is associated with Wellstar Cobb Hospital and has a good bedside manner. Can anyone suggest someone? Thanks.

Mary M. replied:
Dr. Wilder-Dyer is absolutely fantastic. Hands-down the best geriatric internist in town. She is my mom's doctor and has the best bedside manner. Every office visit she spends at least a half an hour with my mom listening and taking in everything my mom has to say.
Anyone have a recommendation for a general practitioner/ internist in the area? Any suggestions appreciated!
Theroxie R. replied:
Dr. Gina Talbot she is located in the square. She is good. The actual name of her business is Cherokee Street Internal & Preventative Medicine. She is in the office with 2 men doctors. I have been going to her for years. She treats everything, and keeps a check on your blood work. Their number is 678.354.3426.
Can anyone recommend an internist who presently accepts new medicare patients? Two have been recommended and neither are taking new patients. Looking for my husband. ...
Vicki H. replied:
I just had the same situation with my mother in law. she has supplemental as well but it didn't matter. We went to Dr. Anne Thomas - Compassionate Care Ministry on Canton Rd by Cherokee St intersection. She was thorough and attentive. The office isn't anything fancy.
Cynthia B. replied:
Try Wellstar West Cobb -- my husband is a medicare patient and I switched to them (Dr. Kriegel) knowing that one day I, too, will be there. http://www.wellstar.org/locations/pages/practice-detail.aspx?lid=8 a2 d1 f2 d-5153-4 d9 d-b2 aa-32 a7 ee9 f62 d9
Carol M. replied:
You only need to worry about network if he's in a Medicare Advantage plan. Straight Medicare with a supplement AKA gap plan does not have the network restrictions. Dr. Cantwell at WellStar Internal Medicine on Tower Rd. took my husband and there are many other good docs in that group.
