Dr. Tariq Javed- Neurosurgeon in Marietta. He's who the Dr's go to. He did my neck surgery and it's 100% now. I wanted to avoid surgery but after two years of pain I wished I'd had it sooner!
Joan V. replied:
Allison Drake- Barrack is fabulous! I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease 35 years ago and all the orthopedic guys have been wanting to do lower back a nod neck surgery for years. At this point I have 6 discs that are totally gone, a herniated disc, and stenosis in my lower back and my neck. Dr Barrack is treating me to avoid surgery as long as possible. She is a physiatrist and pain specialist and uses regular medical techniques as well as some treatments such as manipulative physical therapy, trigger point stimulation and/or injections, and lots of other techniques that have been very helpful. I am on my feet and living a normal life. After having other doctors look at me like I'm crazy when I described all of my symptoms, she went over my MRI and told me exactly why I'm hurting In the places I'm hurting. She is phenomenal! Google Barrack Spine Clinic. She is on Johnson's Ferry except for Wednesday when she sees patients on Vann St across form Kennestone.
Jessie S. replied:
Jessica I'm a women's health & orthopedic doctor of physical therapy. I hope you would considering seeing me for 2-4 weeks and if not improved try another route. PhysioEdge Physical Therapy. 770-792-8081. We utilize and teach dry needling for musculoskeletal and neuromuscular re-education. We tend to get patients who have "failed" traditional therapy.

Check with Tariq Javed, MD. Neurosurgeon = he did my husband's surgery - he has a webside. near Kennestone when we saw him.
Haley M. replied:
Started with Tariq. He is known for being hateful to women. The first year I went, he was ok. Then suddenly he treated me like a drug seeker. Went to Dr Moore and he said that I had the spine of an 80 year old...I was mid 30 s at the time. He talked to me, listened to me. I have sent lots of people to him. I ended up having C 5-6 fusion. I will need more surgeries eventually, but right now, almost 10 years later, I'm doing great.
Haley M. replied:
Dr Dan Moore, he's a neurosurgeon.
Debbie S. replied:

Dr Stephanie Reimann in Woodstock (Towne Lake) - she's my dad's neurologist and we love her. She was just what we needed after his stroke and subsequent seizures.
Cathy B. replied:
Dr Villasana near Kennestone Hospital. No hassle, free parking too. My husband has used him for about 10 years. We had tried multiple neurologists for 10 years before that. Some were arrogant, some didn't care, and we had never gotten a diagnosis. But with Dr. Villasana we got the care and compassion we should have gotten years before. AND an accurate diagnosis. He is so kind too. When I was hospitalized he sae my husband, asked him why he was there and proceeded to come in to see me! Great doctor, very compassionate mn, you will not be disappointed.
Fran S. replied:
Yes....Dr. Villasana. Saw him within the past two weeks. Nice manner and listens very well.

Do any of my health care friends know of a neurologist that isn't a month out to see them. Katie needs to get into one a.s.a.p. Kellie Ikirt.
Jessica C. replied:
Try Stephanie Remann... she's in Canton off Sixes Rd. You might be able to get in with her or her NP before then. Also I told Katie earlier to go see her PCP to see if they can't do anything in the interim to help too.
