I would recommend talking to randy at best converter. With his help I replaced my converter (not inverter). Dumb as a box of rocks, but was able to do it. Still pretty much a glamper with a 160 w solar suitcase and 2 group 24’s when I am off grid. Good luck! http://www.bestconverter.com/

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Works like a champ have not had any problems with it. Do you have a schematic of what you want and where? If not, you want to leave the old wiring there and figure out what else you need? You need to think abou twhere you want lights, 12 volt plugs, AC plugs, plug for the refrigerator and any other appliance that may need one, DC lines for the future, solar, tv, cable, etc. What year is your trailer? That can make a difference in how the trailer was wired. Here is a good article from vintageAirstream.com about the electrical systems in vintage trailers. http://vintageairstream.com/electrical-wiring/ WE left the old wiring in, repaired where needed, and added additional wiring.
