We used Vinyl Composition Tile. Many colours to choose from and pretty durable.

As an Architect / Interior Designer: 1) Vinyl is polyvinyl chloride which is toxic in off gassing & not a healthy sustainable product. 2) "wood patterned" vinyl will scratch leaving white vinyl exposed. 3.) Use sheet linoleum or specifically Marmoleum from www.Forbo.com as it is natural, recyclable, non toxic low VOC solid multi colored product that will not scratch off & soft under your feet. Sheet version is best as no/few seams which can be fused together to prevent leaks to sub flooring. 4) Use sustainable sealed cork flooring as an alternative. www.forbo.com
