Hi Beverly WatkinsThey are all worth saving... good for you guys. Sounds like you've done most of the hard work. Zip Dee is the current supplier to Airstream, and other RV manufacturers, of awnings. I like their selection of fabrics, especially the vintage patterns.

Join the Wally Byam Airstream Club at www.wbcci.org, and the intraclub, Vintage Airstream Club (VAC). Great friends in the whole club, and, even more fantastic people in the VAC who have done exactly what you will be doing! Panels can be replaced using Olympic rivets from the outside, or, if you are removing the interior, you then can buck the original style rivets. Just try to read the reviews. We can only do simple things and have spent some money. Most have been great but some are dealer AS rip offs. We just had about $3000 done at a dealer and found our trailer dumped on its spring bars at Campers Clinic in Buda. We just happened by to get a charger cable and there she was with the jack up. A nightmare but it is hard to get in now..everyone wants to rv. The work so far has been great but no respect for our trailer from the tow guy. They apologized and noted it on our invoice.

Something like a tank issue you really need someone who understands airstreams. The tanks are encapsulated in insulation they are not just sitting in the belly pan. Big repairs I go home to the mothership if need is dire Orange County Airstream in Westminster, CA. Is competent.

You can try Southland RV in Norcross, they are an authorized Airstream dealer. We bought our Classic there in July, have not had service done yet but impressed so far.
