Obsessed with Dr. Kaneicki. He runs the headache center for UPMC but you wouldn't know it by the unhurried time he spends with you. Explained migraines and neurology to me better than any doctor has explained anything to me ever. He has 600+ 5 star reviews and still taking new patients because his old ones don't need him anymore because they don't get migraines anymore... seriously!! Hands down, the best in his field. http://findadoc.upmc.com/PhysicianBioQuery.aspx?EPCDID=1951
I would definitely recommend Allegheny Neurological@AGH. They were great.

I just saw Dr. Delores Santa Maria at Allegheny Neurological and she is phenomenal! Before that I saw Dr. Kaniecki at UPMC Headache Center. He is good too but has so many patients and It got to the point where my migraines have gotten so bad so I was calling every week and only seeing his PA. Nothing he was doing was working and he kept telling me to wait for Botox to work yet I was unable to function every day. I feel like a number to him and he couldnt care less that I live my life in constant unbearable pain and can’t function. I saw Dr. Santamaria and she told me I don’t deserve to live the life I am living and she will help me and we will figure it out. She cares and it means so much. I can go in every week for nerve blocks. SHE actually called me back when the First medicine we tried wasn’t working. She makes me feel like a patient and not a number and I couldn’t be happier with the two times I have been to see her.

Dr Kanecki is great but hard to get an appointment with. He has a Wexford office.

I had several difficult interactions with Dr. Kaneicki as did 3 of my friends. None of us returned after our 2 nd appointment. On a practical level, I called for my original appointment in January (5 years ago) and the soonest he could get me in was August 25.
