Can anyone give me advice about starting the process to get my son seen by a speech therapist?
Also need some great recommendations on family dentists. That are great...

I would do 2 things: If he's under 3, 1. call NJEIS http://www.njeis.org/ AND 2. find a private speech therapist in your insurance network. (I used to work as a PT at Weisman and they are great, but my friend Stacy owns pinelands speech and she is wonderful as well). If he is over 3, call up the township to have him tested for school-based services in addition to private therapy.

My 3 1/2 year old has speech issues. We had a great experience with early intervention but he aged out at 3. We've been using a private speech therapist since his 3 rd birthday since I didn't want to send him to preschool (which he qualified for) 5 days a week. Can't say enough great things about Pinelands Speech right in Medford. My son has made huge strides there. Good luck!

My sons goes to Weisman Children's hospital. They are amazing. As for dentist, since my son is considered "special needs" we were referred to Dr Singer in Voorhees. ABC Dental.

My husband practices with Dr.s Bisignano and Stone family dentistry on Jackson Rd. Our daughter experiences anxiety, so he understands!
Not in Medford but in Marlton. Dr. Dianne Lazar, SLP. She was my son's therapist. He loved going to see her! He had apraxia and was almost completely non-verbal. Now at 12 you would never know he had any issue. I credit Dianne for that success. In two years we went from about 6 sounds to non stop talking:)
