I think it depends on what type of orthopedic surgery you need. My mother had both knees replaced by Dr. Joseph at NHOC with outstanding outcomes. Dr. Killie reconstructed my son's ACL and repaired my torn rotator cuff and we are doing great, too.

Dr. Benson, is awesome, iI have had both knee done, there is not comparison to the success of the operation,if you message me privately, I will tell you who I would not recommend

Dr James Vailas has performed surgery on myself and two other family members. He is a master at knees and shoulders.

Dr Macey at Nashua Ortho has been outstanding in working with my wife on her knee issues over the years - including replacements.

Dr. Heather Killie at NH Orthopedics. She reconstructed my son's ACL after a bad ski accident and repaired my rotator cuff last fall. Both recoveries were ahead of schedule and 100%. She's also very nice. I first went to Dr. Haoung but had reservations, went to Dr. Killie for 2 nd opinion and she was on the mark.

I concur with Kathy Johnson. Dr Sean Frost at Dartmouth Hitchcock did both of my TKR in 2014. I can't say enough good things about him. He will do the surgery at either Southern NH or St Josephs depending on your preference. I had wonderful care at Southern NH for both surgeries. I initially saw Dr Benson because he has a great reputation but I didn't want to have surgery at The Elliot or going back and forth to Manchester during post op recovery.

Not "in the area" but not to far. I swear by Dr. John Tilzey at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Only about 40 minutes. He's the best at doing knees.

another vote for Dr Vailas (he treated my athlete daughter for stress fractures and a broken bone in her foot and he was great!)......also Dr Joseph (he did surgery on me for torn meniscus).....very happy with both of these doctors.

I had my knee replaced by Dr. Benson with NH Orthopaedic. He did a wonderful job. All the staff were great to work with. I will also mention I was driving in just about two weeks and took no pain meds at all.
