Kerry P. replied:
Kevin Tomany Merrimack Valley Orthopedic. Dr. Alter told me numerous times there was nothing wrong with my hand, refused to do an MRI. In the first 5 minutes with Dr. Tomany he diagnosed it as DeQuarvain's Stenosis- cortisone and splinted, 2 weeks later not better so a new splint and MRI order. I had surgery to repair it within 2 months of my first appointment. He ended up removing years of scar tissue from each flare up Dr. Alter said nothing was wrong. He also just repaired the tendons and ligaments I tore in my elbow.
My son has developed what appears to be a repetitive strain injury to his wrist. Looking for recommendations for a good orthopedist, preferably local to Chelmsford.
