My husband as seeing Dr Bonnar for several months. He's went to see Dr Kirk McCullough at Orthopedic Sports Medicine of KC. We are extremely impressed with him. The initial appointment he spent over an hour in the room with him. He specializes in ankle/foot injuries. http://www.orthosportskansascity.com/kirk-a-mccullough-m-d/

Julie A. replied:
Dan Gurley at College Park. Did my knee twice; replaced & revised within 13 months apart
Dan N. replied:
Dr. Nye at SMMC did my first knee surgery (ACL) in 1993, but I'm sure he's long retired since then. My second ACL was in 2009. I believe it was Dr. Kindred from Johnson County Orthopedics who operated on me. He did a good job and I would recommend the facility. Last year, I had to have the knee cleaned up a bit. Dr. Rhoades from KC Orthopedic Institute did that one. He also did a good job, but my results and recovery were a lot longer than I would've expected. I had a lot of post-surgical pain and didn't really feel like the doctor had much advice otherr than "do your PT and wait for it to get better". I expect it's just that the knee isn't happy with how I've treated it. But if I had to go back, I might change doctors at that facility...or go back to JoCo Ortho.
