Can anyone recommend a veterinary dentist / dental specialist in the SF Bay Area? I'm new to the area and have a referral from my out of state vet. Thank you.

Googled Veterinary Dentist San Francisco CA & came up with a list: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=veterinary+dentist+san+francisco+calif
As a rule, if they are board certified, they are terrific. You can ask some who is a good GP and they can in turn tell you who is good. You can do Yelp or Google them for background. Generally you get good vibes or not just by going to their site and seeing how they present themselves. Oh! San Francisco has a world class, no kill shelter, very famous, and they would know who is good if you call their medical clinic. But I truly believe you can figure it out on your own and I find that most board certified dentists are very very good.

I highly recommend The Sams Clinic 489 Miller Avenue Mill Valley, CA 94941 415-380-0500 My 7 yo female husky had tplo surgery there. They’re expensive and were pretty booked, but worth it. I have pet insurance which made it doable.

I'd check in with the Vet School at UC Davis. I friend who has a Frenchie who needed surgery recommended them. He said they provide excellent care and reasonable pricing.

Go to google and type “board certified vet surgeons near me”. I went to SAGE in Cupertino, who has certified orthopedic surgeons. There’s some others closer to you.

We went to warm springs vet hospital in Fremont. They did it for much, much cheaper than anyone else and her knee is great now!
