Marquee really goes above and beyond. Nothing wrong with Pasqualino either. Those are good for a fancier dinner. I like lunch at Rad Brothers, Grill Daddy and Eddie O's.

Saucy, Milton is great. And they have a half decent wine cellar to chose from too.

You should try test kitchen in Burlington if without kids. They recently opened a location in uptown. Or Colossus Greek Taverna in Oakville has great food too and that would be fine with kids.

Adam say Angelo’s Waterfront Seafood Market is the best by far. It's where the reastaurants go. 3631 Dixie Rd, Unit 5. But you have to get there early.

Thanks for the reco Jennifer! Zee, that's The Mermaid & the Oyster. It's a fantastic shop, but again, requires planning ahead and ordering or being there early. I was hoping there may be a place I can swing by on my way home from work in the evening.

Hawthorne Café is also fabulous! Just call ahead and make sure they aren't having a moms and babies event - they have them now and again but might not be a good time for a quiet conversation:)

Hawthorne Cafe is terrific! Hen and Roost is smaller but also makes a good spot. Gets busy at lunch.
