Hello :)
I've been really thinking of opening a small coffee shop but I have no experience in what is involved in opening one up. Is there a group or someone you know...

Food/Beverage business is hard these days. Investment is high and profit is low if it exists. I would definitely work in a mom and pop coffee shop first and talk to the owners about how they manage their business. Take a look at this recent issue of Family Matters featuring locals Kerry Bunney and Matthew Sokół and read about how hard it was starting the business (a coffee shop) http://issuu.com/susanamedeiros5/docs/fall_2015_milton_file

& Plan 5 x more in Milton -- make sure u do a biz plan with a proper marketing plan & budget !!! Advertising is only 1/100 things you can do. Instead of coffee look at what Milton doesn't already have and bring it here, so many things you can do as we don't have it all yet. Edit: I read too fast -- I see ur looking in GTA not Milton in that case another good article http://articles.bplans.com/13-tips-open-successful-coffee-shop/
