Last-minute emergency accommodation My extended family and I were visiting Windsor for a family wedding last weekend. Unfortunately my cousin suffered a brain...

You can try the Bond Place Hotel. It's near the hospital and is a popular budget option. Call them directly though instead of through a website, as they may have a different allocation. I hope your cousin gets better soon!

Just as an FYI - don’t just look at the online hotel prices. Call the nearby hotels and talk to their in-house reservations (the staff actually on the property) or the front desk and ask for a hospital rate. Many hotels offer one. If they don’t have one, see about a CAA/AAA/AARP rate, if you are eligible for any of those.

Maybe Cambridge Suites? The cost for a suite (that sleeps multiple people) might be cheaper than two rooms elsewhere.

Check Craigslist in the housing, sublet/temporary section. Careful of scams, but you might be able to find furnished places for less than the air bnb $200+ a night rate. https://toronto.craigslist.org/d/sublets-temporary/search/sub

Hello! I think many of the replies have included all that I would have to offer in terms of searching for places to stay. I just wanted to say you are in really good hands at St. Mikes. I have a family member who was just an emergency patient in the neuro department and he’s doing well. I am sending positive vibes!

Is your sousing under 18? Contact Ronald McDonald House Toronto and see if they can help. Their entire purpose is to support the families of children who are in hospital for treatment. [https://www.rmhctoronto.ca](https://www.rmhctoronto.ca) Also, the hospital's social workers should be able to help them with accommodations or referrals.
Going on vacation in August, looking for dog sitters/dog hotels My family and I are going on a euro trip in August for about 3 weeks, and we're trying to look at options...

just curious. it's a pretty small dog, no friends or relatives who are willing to help out?

Do you want to send your pup somewhere or have someone stop in and feed, play, exercise him in your own home?
Aceken replied:
Search up Dogtopia. It's a new facility in mississauaga. I'm planning on bringing my dogs there tomorrow because I've been hearing a lot of good things.

Check out these guys, they do house sitting and pet visits: http://wigglybumdogwalking.com/ Full disclosure, I know the owner. But they're really good people and love animals.

Would you consider rewarding friends instead? DoggyBnB.com is a dog sitting network where pet owners invite/add friends and dog owners they know and trust to become part of their dog sitting team. As you connect, you just post a job with the details and a reward of your choices and friends respond, allowing it to be in a home of someone you know personally and trust. You can even borrow sitters that friends know, trust and recommend. Initially though, you need to invite and add friends/sitters to your network to get things working. From there you have all people who love dogs that you can turn too.
