Sigh... first one dog, 1-1/2 weeks ago, came down, all of a sudden, with bunches of hot spots...it's better but we're still battling it some. Now my other dog can't...
Beth Q. replied:
The only e-vets I trust is in Gladstone-503-656-3999...also, for hot spots, you might try using some Braggs Apple Cider vinegar diluted in a spray bottle and sprayed all over...It could also be a flea allergy-I have one with that, and she digs, licks, chews herself up...

A vet just told us that most after hours are vets just like your personal vet probably is. And Northwest Veterinary Specialists are actually specialists. That being said they are very expensive. I hope your animals get better and you don't have to make that choice.

Angie Morig You are welcome! I, too, have 4 dogs, 7 cats (had 8 but the coyotes just got my youngest frown emoticon ), and a whole lot of goats! It's hard to find a goat vet who really knows anything about goats but Dr. Holechek really has experience, practical understanding and answers!!! Dr. Duvall, too, has a heart and knowledge and I'm grateful for them both!! Hope all goes well with this upcoming procedure! smile emoticon

Jessy G. replied:
Canby Vetinary Clinic! We've had nothing but positive experiences. They are friendly, quick to give you service (Same day appointments-if needed for an "emergency" situation) and they will love your dog. We've only been there 4 times and they learned our dogs name. I'd highly recommend them.
Amber C. replied:
Dr.DuVall at South Clackamas Vet in Molalla. She is the best vet after moving to aurora and trying out Canby vets I will 100% always go back to her. 503-829-4428 she is the sweetest most caring person and the techs there are the same.

Best thing that I can say about Woodburn Vet Hospital is that Barney never hesitated to enter the clinic.
Can any of you recommend a good but reasonably priced Vet in the area? My daughter just got a small dog and wants to get it in for a check up and get her spayed....
Nicole M. replied:
South Clackamas Veterinary is $45 for an office visit, and the humane society often holds spay and neuter drives during the summer for low cost
Shirley I. replied:
I have taken my animals for 30 plus years to Molalla Vet. Dr. Famatra503-829 2202 on Toliver west of 213

Try Dr. Famatre like Shirley suggested. He's the best around and by far the cheapest, but rarely taking new families. Can't hurt to try though.

Abiqua Animal Clinic in Silverton is great! They've helped us numerous times when we've had emergencies.
Nicole M. replied:
She is about a year, maybe a little older. That is why I am so concerned. There is a lot of information on kids and what issues are but a lot less as they get older. I have an appointment today with Dr. Blake. I think it is the best choice. Thank you again Justine!!!!!
Justine N. replied:
You are very welcome Nicole! I like Dr. Blake, he is a newer vet but I have liked dealing with him. If you can let me know how your little girl is doing, I hate it when my guys are sick so I know the feeling of worry:(.
Megan H. replied:
Woodburn Veterinary all the way!
Justine N. replied:
I would do Laura Acton at Abiqua (ONLY Laura) or Woodburn (Dr. Titus or Dr. Siegler). Goat vets are tricky to find because most honestly don't KNOW much. Even at Woodburn I sometimes have to up dosages and such when it comes to meds. Laura Acton owns goats and KNOWS her stuff, if you need a very knowledgeable vet she is your go to gal. Remember sometimes you get what you pay for with a vet:).
Just moved back to town, I'm looking for a vet to get my dog neutered. Where have you had good/bad experiences? Doesn't necessarily have to be in molalla. Thank you! :)
