We had a wonderful vet make a house call who specializes in acupuncture named Isabel Wyss. Not sure she does end of life care but maybe she know someone special. Her email is isawyssdvm@me.com. Sorry to hear, she is such a sweet dog, but smart to have a plan.
Emily I. replied:
I'm not sure if he does house visits but Dr. Pugsley at Canby Vet(503-266-2768) is a wonderful man! I've known him and taken my dogs and cats to him for 12 years. Worth giving a call to. There is one or 2 other doc's there but I can't remember their names. Hope this helps
Betsy I. replied:
We had to make that very difficult decision a year ago. But we had great help at home with a vet that specializes in at home euthanasia http://www.drlorigibson.com/frequently-asked-questions/ then dignified pet services in Tualatin for the cremation. They work together which makes it easier. We had to make the call very late at night as our great dane could not get up off of her bed. We had a peaceful transition here at home then the doctor took her to Tualatin where we picked up the remains a few days later. She is now part of are garden. Sorry for your family, these decisions are never easy.
I'm looking for a vet local in TD or HR that is reasonable and has great customer service. Someone who takes the time needed to help your pet. Please let me know the...

The dalles vet in 3 rd street, Dan Davidson. Great rates and weekend/emergency service for clients. That's important to me:)

Columbia Vet, Dr. Lindsey is fantastic and her staff is wonderful, very good at what they do, I highly recommend them
I like the ladies at Columbia Vet, but am very disappointed that they provided no after-hours care. My pet had minor complications after surgery, and I was on my own. I don't know if I can stay with someone who has no emergency care.
Brad M. replied:
My family has been going to The Dalles Vet on 3 rd for 3 generations, all 3 docs there are great. The staff treats us well & reasonable pricing, though I've never been anywhere else so I can't compare prices to others.

Jennifer W. replied:
I go to the Dalles Vet on 3 rd they have after hours care and great service
Susan M. replied:
Any time you have a pet under anesthesia as with humans...disaster can happen. I know for a FACT all 3 vet clinics in The Dalles have lost a client (pet) due to complications of anesthesia. Columbia Vet is quality care, reasonably priced and dedicated! Yes, they do need emergent care but recruiting vets to our area is TOUGH. The Dalles desperately needs a large animal vet too!
Andretta S. replied:
Susan, I know that the Dalles Vet on 3 rd had* a large animal vet, I don't know if they still do, but they still have the truck. The Dalles also needs a vet for reptiles.
Thia M. replied:
Laura MAkepeace at Tucker Road in HR was so gentle and good with my cat. I have gone for years and they let me pay 25 a month. Its the only way i can afford it. I have 3 cats...

I go to Dalles Veterinarian Hospital, they are on 3 rd in The Dalles, they have been great, did a midnight switch grass removal from a dogs ear, took in a door that impaled itself on a sunday. They are good priced too in my opinion. Great Customer Service, you don't need appointments unless you are getting something like a spay done.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good veterinarian in West Linn, LO or surrounding areas? I love my vet but they seem very expensive. I mind spending money on my...

Southgate Animal Clinic is where I take my little family members. They are AMAZING!! Stephanie Ricker is my doctor. It's a bit of a drive for you but worth it. It's off 82 nd and King Road (kinda Milwaukie area). (503) 771-0857www.southgateanimalclinic.com.

Courtney, did you stick with Dr. Bertelson? He is still in old building with a new number... that's our vet too.
Pet cremation services? My sweet 14-year old cat is dying. Can you recommend a pet cremation service?

Hi, first— I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. I was where you are one year ago when my fifteen year old lifelong companion was diagnosed with late stage cancer. It’s an awful time. The kind folks at [compassionate care](https://www.drlorigibson.com/) were able to do a same-day in home appointment when things got bad. The moment I told my Madi she didn’t have to hold on anymore, she relaxed and settled into my lap. When the vet arrived, they were wonderful and gentle. A week later we picked up her ashes and a paw print. If you are looking for a service that will help guide you through this difficult time, I cannot recommend compassionate care enough. Hearts to you and the cat.

In addition to my vouching for Dignified Pet Services and Compassionate Care, my vet friend also told us that you don’t need to have a euthanasia at the vet in order for them to help you with a cremation. We were considering this route when we weren’t sure our cat would make it until the home visit could take place. My friend works at VCA.

When we put down our pet recently, it was through Cat Care Professionals in Lake O. I don't know who they use for their cremation, but they were excellent. Might be worth a call to them.

I just went through this on Saturday and I am so so so sorry. We used [dignified pet services](http://dignifiedpetservices.com/). They came to our place so we didn't have to take Finlay outside of the house. They were extremely kind. We pick up his ashes and paw print on Friday. They have checked in on me twice so far.

I just had my dog cremated at A Cherished Pet in Portland and they were fantastic. Very professional, yet compassionate and not extra spendy. Their base fee is $100 and then $1 per pound the animal weighs. You can upgrade the urn if you want, which I did to a lovely laser engraved wooden box for $30 extra. I'm sorry about your little one. It's tough to lose our babies.

We recently use compassionate care. They come to you. A bit pricey but worth it. https://www.drlorigibson.com

I’m sorry that happened. I had two rats as pets and they were the best little guys ever, so sweet and smart! I think there is a place in Tualitin that cremates pets but if you call Dove Lewis and ask them, they’ll give you all that info as they refer people to those services a lot. Good luck and sorry again about your buddy.

I’d find a good hiking trail and make an event of hiking out and burying him in nature.
I am looking for a vet in the Oregon or Washington area that does OFA x-rays without any anesthesia does anyone know of such animal?
Tami M. replied:
My understanding is the position they need to get them in, can be very uncomfortable/borderline painful especially if your dog isn't super placid. That said, my dog is a total melter and they were able to do it at River Road Animal Hospital without anesthesia. OFA Excellent. Thanks Stephanie At Skyfire for my awesome pup!
Christine R. replied:
Timberland vet Ethal Wa vet is a breeder and knows her OFA staff is the best on getting the best results. Highly recommend

I would check with Aloha Dog & Cat.
